nope, just been rained on. I don't have a shop, so I'm dependent on the weather. Hoping to make some progress tomorrow afternoon.

Does the weather still suck?

yeah. A little sun today, but rain again tomorrow. Unfortunately the fiberglass got soaked in the first downpour, so I'll need a week or so of constant sunlight to get it all dried out.

bump for progress report

Still gettin' rained on.
Rain's come in and scared off all my budies for my last camping trip.
Been getting my WSMC dialed in, though. I see potential for a few mods, but otherwise, It'll be my camping cooker of choice.

Damn - do you live in Seattle?

Nah, man, getting to feel like it. Every now and again, we'll get a teaser day of mid-70's and clear skies, then hail and sleet the next.

I've also just dumped 500 bucks into The Mule for a new rear driveshaft, u-joints, clutch master and slave cylinders, so it may be some time.

I've been chatting with some folks about the firebox I'm going to potentially purchase for this thing, and they clued me into some good mods to make it run better.

page 3. WTF. You got ADHD?

Nope, just poverty.

I can relate with short term projects grounded to a future back burner.:meh:

Yeah, it happens more than I'd like.

I ended up having to drop the project, and last week the fridge got sold for scrap.
About the time I really got into this, I first smeared my truck's t-case all over the road when a front u-joint bound up. The damage was pretty bad, my passenger-side floor pan was raised up 3", and all the lines and hardware underneath it was shredded.
$1200.

Then about two months later, the main bearings in my transmission gave up, and had to deal with that.
Rebuilt and installed was $2500.

So, all my money went away for a while, and things that didn't need to happen stopped happening. Then all my free time went away too once I got back into school full-time, and the project got reprioritized for fuel money.

I'd enjoy doing this over again someday, but it's just not in the cards right now.

My dad used to smoke fish in an old fridge. Low temperature and relative short time so the rubber door gasket was not an issue. Used oak shavings and we used to love the smoked fish.
