EJS Dirt Riot update

Just got back From Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari We Rock Dirt Riot Race.

I Broke my Drivers side Rear Shaft right at the start of the race, i was passing a slow jeep on a harder drop and slammed it pretty hard.
Ran the Rest of the race in 3 wheel drive, but on the very last lap my Front Driver side Longfeild Broke and i was done :frown:

Ordering parts for my 14 Bolt D60 now..

Weight

Corner weighed the cruiser today out at Redline

1/2 Tank of Gas

4,116lbs Empty

4,415lbs with 2 Skinny Driver/CoDriver's

Dana 60/14 Bolt & Coil overs are in the Near Future! :steer: Axles already Acquired.. Military Chevy W/4.56 and Detroit Rear

Anyone have suggestions or Ideas on how they would do it im all ears..

Plan is
4 Link Rear, Stretch to 106-108" Disk Brakes
Front 3 Link, Keep the Steering Box, Hi Steer, 35 Spline outers, ARB Locker.

Do the 32 Spline Front Output upgrade to the D300.

Eventually Add Some Air Bumps and Sway Bars if needed

my 40 weighed 4200 on the scales with the 2F, D60 front/14 bolt rear and 40" Irocks.

No driver and a full 7 gal tank of propane.

the more 40's i look at, the more i want one. one problem tho, gotta get the 62 to race status first. one project at a time. i love your 40 man. keep up the excellent work

We Won the Dirt Riot Mountain Series.. Stock Mod Class..

The Cruiser has had a rough go this summer.. Frame is cracking, Front axle is bent, Exo Tubes are cracking.. Broke a Front Pinion, Front and Rear Inner Axle Shaft, and i blew up the Dana 300 after the Cortez race! :p

I may be retiring it from racing, and building a go fast car in the future!

I have to Thank Redline Land Cruisers!! WeRock Passed me through Tech with no issues with their Roll Cage kit, and Tube Doors. Redline Land Cruisers

I also had some support from OG Extreme, a new clothing company out of colorado springs. OGeXtreme Clothing

Also want to thank Ben Robbins, and Kyle Moore for the help codriving and working on my truck to get it ready!, Woody and all the guys who have helped via the internet in getting my truck to where it is at!

It got Cold, so i guess its time to do this..

Hey Bud,
anxious to see whats to come.....

The rear tubing on the quarter panels is something i will be doing soon to protect the rear. Its hard to see, but are you supporting the tube anywhere along that reach other than where its tied into on the slider and rear bumper? if not, what size tubing and thickness are you using and how much give are you getting when the weight of the truck is leaning on it? Thanks!

If i recall, you never did the 4:1 in the dana300 did you? How do you like driving the 700r4 and 37s without it? I know you did the race, but I'm sure you've been in some technical crawling situations too... Im building my dana300 with HD shafts, i figure i would put the 4:1 in while i had it apart.

How have the kmc's held up? Would you buy them again? What are you going with 8 lugs? If so what wheels? Thx, btw tell Justin that Justin says what's up! :)

Honestly i love the 2.7 Stock Low range, it goes nice and slow with the 3.05 first gear on the 700R4, and i can still hit 50MPH in Overdrive.. Its been Perfect for Racing, and also nice trail riding.. If it was Strictly a Crawler, or a Manual Transmission i would want the 4:1

The Tube Connects in 3 spots, Front, Rear, and Right Below the B Pillar of the cage, its hard to see, but i have a chunk of 3/8"x1.5" Flat bar that ties into the Cage to Frame Tie in.. PM me your Number and ill send you a photo!
