Hey Guys. I am trying to find the best working solution for bucket seats for my Pig. I know that there are quite a few people on here who have used different ones and would like to see how they look. Any pics would be great. I have no problem fabricating brackets but want to see if there are some that look or function better than others. Thanks

ok. no love for the open ended question huh? ha =) Anybody out there have 80 series seats in a 55. That is an option I am looking into and wants to see what they looked like and if there were any underlying issues there. Thanks

I was about to ask if you were looking for comfy or a racing style seat like from www.jegs.com or sporty comfy like the Rally 1000 orElite 1100 made by Procar sold at www.summitracing.com

Yup, it seems that everyone has their own special favorite. I think seats from celicas & other toyotas are pretty common with volvo's up there too. It really depends on how you like the seat and what do dad's you want as you will build a bracket to mount them in anyway. I think ease of installation was a big factor for a lot of people. The camry seats i stuck in the fj40 feel pretty good and weren't to tough to make a bracket for. I'd just start looking in the junk yards for those that appeal to you and factor in what'd it take to mount them in. Talk to your buttocks and see what they want.

Cheers!

Early 2000's silverado seats are what I have. They fit perfectly, although I never installed the center console seat to make it a bench. They are basically bolt in. I drilled holes and the seats are at the right height for me.

I also have Chevy seats out of an '04 pickup. They are comfy and have the shoulder belt built in which is really nice! The center console will not fit though. Much too wide>

It is? :( I had thought I could make it fit if I altered the braces.

Here's some pics of the seats I have...I'll take some better/closer shots tomorrow to give you a better idea of what they look like.

Thanks guys. I have thought about using the chevy seats, mainly because of the seatbelt. I haven't found any of these just yet but i have the opportunity to grab some 80 seats and thought that might be a decent option but the shoulder belt sounds really nice. Laguna, can you get me a pic of how you installed these, on the floor. That would be super helpful.

I found some seats out of BMW, E-series something, they are the step down from Vader seats. Manual controls with heat. The mounting system is very easy and adaptable to anything you need. I found them through bimmerforums

Picked these nice charcoal leather seats of a local guy for $150(said they were from a Kia). I liked that they match the color of the door panels and original rear seat. Eventually, I'll get the rear seat recovered in leather to match these.

Those Kia seats are nice. I like those, they look really nice in a piggie.

I'm going to be putting some 80 series seat in my pig also. I got some for a steal, and haven't even looked at the mounting situation yet. I'm determined to make it work. I had an 80 for about 5 years and those seats were great. I'll post pics once I get there. Probably be a while though. Good luck with your selection.

chattanooga cruiser conversion van seats....power and lumbar :D

I really like the tahoe/silverado seat to for the comfort, look, and integrated seat belt.
IPOR's are really nice too. Im pretty sure this is what Eventhough put in his pig.

laguna - are you still using the Pig 3 point belts now that you chopped the roof?

I would love to take those off your hands if you don't need them anymore...

Let me know.
