closing on my first home monday ! SCARY!!! LOL

Congrats bud, Cheers! I'll be looking for an invite to that break it in party.LOL

Congrats, I know how you feel, we have been in ours about a month now, just paid my first note today.

Congrats! I just did all that for the first time a month ago too, crazy feeling but nice once you get settled in. I was happy to finally have a big enough garage to hide all my FJC parts!

I had the same experience with the garage myself, I finally have a place to keep my tools out of the weather with out storing them in the house or backseat of the truck. and my wife still has enough room to park on her side of the garage. and i can work on the cars even when its raining or dark. I'm loving it!!

Good to hear bud, I have the garage and shop and I was still outside in the rain yesterday evening wrenching on the 80. I've been lobbying for another shop, LOL :)

When we built and first moved in I could park two in the garage. Now with all the crap that comes with 3 kids I get to park outside. So I've added a 12'x27' section and can wrench inside again. Lobbying for a shop now to wrench in so I can park one of mine inside and wrench on the other inside. Got a 20hp antique tractor needing new sleeves/pistons now. It looks like it's blowing as much out of the CC vent as the muffler. Never ending battle for mechanical dominance around here.

I stumbled across this today and couldn't help but think that I could have easily found myself in this predicament. For those of us that weld and use cutting torches this is a must read...

Alright. Where is the best place to get tires mounted around Abbeville/lafeyette? (best should be read as cheapest). I don't need them balanced. Just mounted.

Sounds nice an your right about the battle for mechanical dominance with a fleet to keep up there is always something to work on. I like old tractors lets see it :)

Damn, X2 I was using similar measures last week cleaning and working on the axle using carb and brake cleaner whatever was cheapest on my last run cleaning up parts and heating old rusty bolts.
Good read thanks

They all went up :(, I used the used tire place on Pinhook he'd swap the tires for $5 a wheel. Second option was Walmart but they went up. I have lifetime rotate and balance on all the vehicles at the Goodyear across the St from the office it's right at $90 but I think all tire shops offer that now. Sorry for the useless ramble

Louisiana Tire 234-8903

Second choice used tire shop on pinhook. They also sell new tires and will beat most prices.

Nothing special or spectacular like I'd rather have. Grandpa has an old Heston and my preacher man runs an old Farmall rigged up to plant with 3 hoppers. Mine is just a mid 70s Japanese JD clone. Does good for what it is. It could run a 5' tiller across new ground before I over heated it last summer.

Nice, looks like good workhorse. I always see some retired old tractors on the backroads in Tennessee I think it would be fun to drag one home and restore one someday. Especially like the old Farmall and Fords an 8N would be cool :)
