I guess since I said something bad about one, I should say something about the other.

I can't get ahold of anyone at Marlin and no one has called me back about voicemail I left on Monday. I have also asked questions online and do not get a response. Many of the parts that I want to buy from Marlin are back-ordered with no ETA. This is the first TG product I have had an issue with and from reading reviews online, TG offers superior bumpers. In fact, that is what my voicemail was about....whether or not they had redesigned Marlin bumpers after the numerous failures due to lack of bracing.

I'm indifferent. I'm happy when they give me the right stuff for a good price and angry when they can't. I don't care who it comes from as long as it does what it says it does.

Also, some of the parts they sell are most likely from the same manufacturer.

X2 I want to use what works best at the right price.

I am speaking my mind, what goes on in the club does not go back to my X!!! Like Ark. trip, please zip the mouth!!!

LOL.. ok, now you say this after your nephew comes, I'm sure some face book pics are posted and there are pics all over. ...and I'm sure she NEVER looks at mud to find out what the hell you've been up to ;)

Well guys...my wife has obviously suffered from some type of brain damage, in fact, I'm thinking of leaving her now.

My dreams of a happy family have been shattered as it has come time to trade our van for something a bit nicer. I really had my hopes and dreams set on having an FZJ80 as a family vehicle.....

She finally found a vehicle today and I won't even say what it is...I'm too ashamed. I may need to walk away and be alone for awhile. I really don't think it's going to work out between me and my wife. At least her choice has solid axles and lockers, but don't expect for me to post any pictures on here :bang:

... you know you had me worried at first.:flipoff2:

Side note: the 4doors are bad ass. Would love to get one but to much money for a play toy. I have my own brain damage to fess up too. I have been halfass looking for a replacement for the 4runner. Just get something i can swap my axles under. I would really like another Isuzu Trooper II if not for the fact I could not be a member any more.

Ok, so I told Paul and Landry this story but thought I'd post it anyway...

Went to Whiskey River Landing to hear Geno (sp?) the other night in Henderson. As anyone having been there knows, its literally over the levee on the river side. Walking out a guy in the pitch black night asked if I had a truck. I said "sorta, why?" and he said a guy was stuck.

Well, it was a Chevy 2500 stuck well in the mud too close to the river. I was parked close and when he saw what we were driving, he said that he didn't think we could pull him out. I humbly said I didn't know but I'd give it a try. He'd just have to keep a promise if I did it...

Got the strap out, hooked him up, locked the axles and center diff and told Kristin I'd pull the body off the axles before I quit trying.. lol.

Well, the old girl pulled him out just fine and when it was all said and done, he thanked us and said he was surprised a "Lexus" could do such a job. (I didn't mention the lockers) and I told him he'd have to keep his promise... to tell all of his friends a Toyota pulled his 2500 out. ...lol

I just didn't have the heart to take pictures. He was like the lion w/ a thorn in his paw and the mouse pulled it out for him...lol.

Love the "Queen"

me

That's an awesome story Scott. I bet he was a bit embarrassed as well as surprised.

Ryan, if it's a 4-door, jack that thing up, put some big arse MT's on it and do it up right. If I was gonna do a heep, it would be that way. I have seen several of them and they look great and perform very well off road. (Having said that, I still couldn't park it in my driveway. I would wait to divorce her AFTER you've built the heep. Sell it for a profit. You know those guys will buy it for a premium when it's built. :hillbilly: )

It's an '01 WJ Limited. All leather, sunroof, 10 disk changer, 4.7, Quadradrive. It's not TOO bad.

Van got 21-22 and we averaged 19.4 driving the...umm...new car yesterday so not too big of a difference. She doesn't go many places anyway.

No shame bud when these women have their minds set on something you're like the invisible man. The trend here in Lafayette seems to be the 4 door heeps with 33's I see half a dozen on my commute to work everyday. My boss traded a nice FJ for a 4Dr Rubicon edition :bang:. I'd rather drive a 15 year old 80, 4-Runner or any of the others Toys myself but that's what makes us all different if we were all the same the world would be a boring place. For the others like me I'm glad your here

Just wear one of these when riding or driving it.
