And To answer your question I have just been tied up with alot of other things, my 4runner has sat alone and neglected since I backed it off the trailer after the last ride, just started it last night for the first time since however long it has been since we went to hotsprings. today I am going to air the tires up and see about dropping otu all the old gas from it and poisning a fenceline with it or something, then see if with fresh gas if I still have the shutting down problem I was having up in hotsprings. Something I saw in Pullapart has given me the wants, and the more I research it the more doable it looks.

besides that things are normal, just have not been in a toyotakick lately so I have just been lurking mostly.

well buddy you need to quit 'lurking' and start doing some :steer: we miss ya :)

Man I got in from Costa Rica last night and that place is incredible! Issac is a very blessed man to spend time there on a regular basis. I started snapping pictures of LCs as soon as we landed, but they are everywhere and of course they're diesels. It was pretty cool to catch a couple cab rides in manual Prados. We had an excellent fishing trip where we landed 14 sailfish out of Los Suenos! I also thought I was going to lose my life on a Class 5, while white water rafting. If you ever have the chance to go, don't pass it up!

Wow...thanks. One day.

A few years back I won an all expense paid trip to CR for me and the wife. We stayed at the Los Suenos Marriott Resort and went into town a couple of times. We had a great time there......and the LC's are everywhere. Didn't get to do any fishing but white water rafting is something we would liked to have done but didn't get the time. We did however do the zip line through the canopy, went horseback riding to a water fall and went kayaking out to some small islands. Oh, and if you want to eat at an amazing place, look up Adventure Dining. It's a tree house and he only takes one party per night as it is small but the view is absolutely amazing.

Awesome, I am glad y'all had a good time and caught a bunch of fish. I know, Land Cruiser heaven down there.

Los Suenos is a very nice place:cool:

I would love to see some yours or Darasick's rafting pictures. I have never done that in Costa Rica. I did get dropped off by helicopter on the Johnstone river in Australia and rafted on class 5 rapids for a week to reach civilization. When the helicopter took off, I remember being scared sheetless. I lied and told them I had rafted before and was very experienced. It was my first time.:D My pictures are all just old photos in an album but the look on my face when they left us in the jungle showed my face white as a ghost.

I know the feeling of scared sheetless, but no helicopters here. First they made us swim through a Class III (first picture)... If that didn't kill you, then they let you carry on. These are pictures from our group in general. There were 9 of us on this trip.

The first pic is of my group going down one of the harder obstacles backwards. Right after this is when I thought I wasn't going to make it back to the states in one piece.

Looks warmer than when I went up in Durrango.

Awesome pics. Mine look nothing like that. We went kayaking not white water kayaking.....

Damn near died trying to get back in though. Kind of rocky on the bottom and the water was shallow with huge rollers coming back in. It was almost comedic as our guide was saying, "Paddle hard.........STOP........wait......wait.......paddle hard.......paddle hard..STOP.....wait......paddle hard.......". Wish I had gotten that one on video. Oh, and we were the only ones on this trip. They usually do 15 - 20 people at a a time. The weather was not that great so everyone else cancelled but no one told us. We showed up and the guide said, "We can still go. No big deal. Just do exactly as I say and you shouldn't die.":eek:

Mike I wish I could check out your pics from my work pc, I'll check them out when I get home.

haha that looks fun ! and cold for some reason ,

It was chilly, but not cold. That was the last thing on my mind after that first swim though!

UPDATES:

Nicole is home with a good platelet count. She has to keep going back for blood work and monitoring, but she is doing great.

Me, I have horner's syndrome and they don't know why. Test, MRI, xrays are all normal. I have a nerve issue and they don't know why. I was pretty much told to deal with it and go to the emergency room of my headaches get worse or my vision suddenly changes.
