Nice flexs! So when can we see this Beast work out in the field?

My dad just bought this truck and thought you guys may want to see some pics of this BEAST. I'll get to test drive it next week and let the 80 guys in our club know what a difference that turbo makes if I can climb inside.

If you scroll down to post #13 you can see it flexing.

Congrats to him on adding another fine cruiser to the family  I'd like to hear your opinion after the drive. I didn't read on what he did as far as the ECU maps or piggyback to control his air fuel with the turbo. I'll have to read more.

I was at a friends shop not to long ago and he had a supra turbo in the shop. I was comparing the engines and the short blocks look identical and looks like you could literally transplant the the intake and exhaust with turbo setup over to the 80 with little headaches. I love playing wit dem turbos and its a gas when you mash on it and they spool. I have to admit that might be strangely different in a 6000lb 80 rather than a 3000lb sports car but would be welcomed when under a load. As fun as it would be I think I'll splurge for a TRD bolt on when I RR my head. Shorter downtime and it did the trick on my Taco especailly when pulling a 16 FT boat which is why I'd like to add one to the 80 for towing a popup on long trips and in the MTNs. :D

I would opt for the super charger too. A lot cheaper and instant power. I do love the sound of a spooling turbo though. When I used to run boats that had duel turbos and 1800 hp per motor it always sounded and felt pretty cool even though it burned 2.1 gallons a minute.

As far as the ECU maps and piggyback, I have no idea and that sorta stuff is way over my head anyway.:p

Look what just came to my house today. Badland bumpers:D:D
