I think two of the guys that I know of have them.... however, if you are REALLY able to make a modern day rig water"proof" and put it up to the hood using the snorkle.. let me know... it's tough.

Bx

I have heard unless the truck is a diesel it will never be 100% waterproof, no vacume lines to worry about, or distributors, talking Mechanical injection of course.

I would like to make an attempt @ waterproofing the 4runner. Almost everything under the hood electronic is disconected or gone. I am not sure how hard a toyot a distributor is to seal though, I think that as long as I keep it dry there is nothing else electronic left on my truck that would need to be waterproofed. It would have been nice if I would hav kept the electric fan for watercrossing, just turn it off and no worries about pulling the fan into the radiator.

On second thought I would hate to waterlog my interior. Don't know where I could find another set of 1996 Eagle talon bucket seats :hillbilly:

I use to silicone mine shut and ran the vent into the top of the dash. When I knew I was going to be in anything deep tie a bag around it to help keep it dry. Never had issues. :)

x2 on the silicone. I have seen fish in the windshield of my brothers 40 with zero problems and a snorkle of course.

who was the guy there at the expo who was the photographer? i forgot his name. i believe he rode in the black tundra

That was Tina's brother he took some good pictures I'm waiting to see them as well. I was in the Nike's so I didn't jump in the mud holes to get any good pics but he took some.

I was offered this weeked to use the Paradise property anytime our club wants to schedule a ride out there. I turned it down its to far to travel

Not, I asked him how many I needed to call it a club. When he asked for the Land Cruiser club to put us in line we had three hands go up

Given a working rig and a little time off (much planning, sorry), I'd go w/ two. We can hang the damn banner! lol.

May be a good "father/child" type of run

Plate is pretty full for now... at least until the skeeters come out
