That's odd. Why are the front progressive and the rear linear? Maybe for weight?

Decided anything for the exhaust yet?

I imagine its for stability purposes and the fact that the rear springs are so short a progressive spring's dead coils would limit up travel. Plus the rear end is so soft and flexy it doesnt need it.

Exhaust is cut off behind the stock muffler still for now. Im going to throw a cherry bomb on there after the lift is in and just dump it straight down. I am contemplating a 1" body lift now so I dont want to run any exhaust until I get everything how I want it.

Lift is finished for all intensive purposes. Still have to address all the odds and ends and mount the rear shocks since I couldnt get to the damn upper brackets with my socket. Its got a slight stink bug, so I am going to drive it around for a couple days and see if it settles a bit since Ive been driving with just the front springs mounted for the last three days. If it doesnt I may throw in some small 1/2" or 1" spacers up front and hope it doesnt cause any issues. It started raining on me again (I moved to SoCal to escape the rain!) but I will get some pictures asap.

Yeah I think you may be right. I didn't think about the travel. I'm still not up on my suspension tech, I'm coming from a Pathfinder and Supra background.

Why a cherry bomb? Price? Ease? I'd rather have a Dynomax bullet or for more money the Borla X1.

Cheap. Flows well. Does what it needs to. And if I bash it I can get new ones for $14.

Gotcha. Be sure to get a perferated tube and not louvered.

Most of my wheeling is trails, creeks and backwoods. I don't always think about ground clearance and rock bashing.

When are you going to start on the bumpers?

I honestly havent even hit the rocks yet. But Id rather be overprepared, than under. Plus Im all about simplicity, and keeping a super tight budget. Bumpers are a bit down on the list. Brakelines, tires, LCA's, panhards, etc... it never ends.

X2, hurry and mount those 37s, :flipoff2:

Waiting for the guy with the procomps to get his new wheels and tires delivered. Said they should be in by the end of the week. Hopefully Ill have them balanced and bolted up by the end of this weekend. MAF spacer should arrive this week too, I hope. Right now no vibes up to 100mph, although there is noise coming from under the truck I didnt notice before. I cant tell what it is. I almost think it just wind noise from more air getting under there? Im going to hand turn the driveshafts when I get a chance and see if there is any binding.

Lies! That's sitting on jackstands!

Looks good man. Can't wait to see it with the new rollers.

Someone stole your flares tho.

Put a "hold" payment down on the tires and wheels tonight. Its funny how quickly my initial plans to install 30mm front spacers and run 285's, changed to 3.5" coils with 30mm front spacers and 37's... and I havent even really wheeled it yet... Oh well.
