Any close up pics of how you mounted those lights? Is there a small bracket or are they just bolted throught the cowl?

Probably a street queen.

Its totally a street queen right now... I Haven't been able to use my right hand in 6 months. Got my cast off last week and went and played on some dirt mounds last weekend, but thats about it. I haven't wheeled it in anything other than the sand and some expo stuff since I finished up the lift and second bob. I'm not hitting the big rocks until I can weld up some sliders, and I'm not going to risk breaking something since I'm not really capable of doing any major repairs, especially trail repairs, right now. Hopefully I'll get my movement and strength back in the next couple months and get going again.

Cat back pipe routed, tucked up nice and tight. Pics don't really do it justice, its really tucked up there. My guy even cut off the stock flange at the end of the over frame stock pipe and moved it up 3" so it would be above the bottom of the frame rails. So now the cats are the ONLY part of the exhaust that's exposed. Everything else is at least 2-3" above the bottom of the frame rails. I made the exit just a few inches toward passenger from center. So when I build my rear bumper I will integrate a small skid off the side of the receiver hitch, which will keep the tailpipe from getting smashed. Exhaust is so darn quiet now after running no muffler, its nice. Sliders coming soon.

Now that I have a muffler I wanted to start having music again in my rig. Stock speakers are pretty worn out, and i wanted to replace them, but not spend much cash since half the time the rig has no front doors on it. Saw these on sale for $29 for the pair at the Walmart site. Went into the store and they were marked at $60. Showed the checkout girl the website and she tried to tell me I needed to order them and have them shipped to the store. After calmly debating with her for 10 minutes why that is ridiculous when they already have them in stock, she called her manager. Her manager thought it was ridiculous as well and gave me a 20% discount for my troubles with the employee. Long story short, I got new rear speakers for $24 bucks. I'll be installing them in the back doors, since the fronts are in my garage for now.

Sucks if she lost her job over this. Bad time of year. But good job sticking up for yourself.

No way. It's not like I was upset. Takes a LOT to get me fired up. She was obviously trying to avoid getting in trouble for doing something wrong, but she wasn't using her common sense.

Ahh that's good.

Just got back into town last night. Did some errands this morning and hit coral canyon for a couple scenic trails with my girl. Had another guy ask me if my truck was a rav4. ugh... between that, and the huge blind spot i created with the sheet-metal rear windows, i decided i need a change. I was going to just go back to the SUT cut and grafting the hatch back, similar to what i had before, and what other guys are doing. But I've decided to try something a bit different first. I've always thought the 4runners look better than the 80's when they are SUT cut because the angle of the A and C pillars match. Something that's just aesthetically pleasing about that. So I'm going to experiment with a slant cut and see what I can come up with. If it doesn't work out I can always chop it off and graft the hatch back in. Since everyone loves pics ill throw a couple up.

And my spacers came in while I was gone:

After a week of unsuccessfully trying to contact the administrators to retrieve my password, I opened a new account. This is my new user name. I no longer have access to the Brunt Force Trauma account. Back to noob thread count status. Been making some sheet metal changes to the cruiser. Updates coming soon.

Thanks,
James.

Rear end version 3.0 in the works. For some reason using MIG is all of a sudden not working. The welds are full of bubbles. Tried adjusting settings, cleaning the metal, changing tips, but to no avail. Next step is to pull the hose and gun apart and check all the O rings. Just haven't done it yet because I needed to get the truck put together enough to drive to work. So for now I'm using fluxcore. Which means lots of popcorn and plenty of flapper disk work.

Burning in the new panels/framework. Looks like I tiny version of the universe:

Check that your nozzle is not pulled out too far. If it is it will suck air (ask me how I know!).

How did you change your screen name?

See above comment #612. Unfortunately I didn't change it, I had to open a new account.

Can tou clarify what you mean by "pulled out too far?" You mean like the nozzle isn't seated all the way down on the gun? If so, its definitely seated. I just changed it.
