You would need a copper washer. If you look inside of the fitting, it does not have for an inverted flare.

So then...
The threaded hose end does NOT need to seat inside the union. Threads and copper washer provides the real seal.
I cut my previously flared brake hose threads down to about the length of your OEM hose pictured. It bottoms out on the washer surface long before it reaches the bottom of the union. The copper washer provides the seal.A little knowledge infusion, please.
I've got this same rear union (last pic) and OEM hose but the hose thread is short and does not seat inside the union.
Hose thread 10mm and union depth 14mm. Mating ends seem to match.
Is the hose supposed to fully seat against the inside of the union or does a crush washer provide that seal?
I've used a file b4. I think the fitting is aluminum . Be sure to blow out the hose to clear any debris. Looking at your hose end you shouldn't have an issue with the length of the threads.@Sparkman86 just out of curiosity what did you use when you cut yours? Hacksaw, cutoff wheel?
Hacksaw and file did the trick in a few minutes@Sparkman86 just out of curiosity what did you use when you cut yours? Hacksaw, cutoff wheel?
