I just want to say how bummed I am! Had been holding out on a rack for better part of a year and JUST installed a (similar) rack the week before you posted availability. ☹️

Hopefully everything is still in production when I convince myself to upgrade next year. 😉

Glad to see you're up an running! 🍻

Patrick is awesome. Great service, communication and products.

As of right now, I am out of stock on 80 series racks. More parts on order though to keep it rolling! Thank you so much to all the people that have ordered.
I do have 2 more 60 series racks.
I will work on the other models as we get things back rolling.

60 series rack motivator! 😀

The only 200 with a Bowfin rack.
I said I was only going to focus on racks for "obsolete " Cruisers. The 200 is obsolete, so....

Perhaps I should.

Just deleted my 80 Series OEM roof rack to install the Bowfin. If anyone else was wanting a simple solution for the delete see below, costs about $100 in hardware from McMaster Carr:

95608A125 Stainless Steel Ultra-Wide Flanged Button Head Screw, M5 x 0.8 mm Thread Size, 20 mm Long
Note: (16 required for full delete, 8 for delete of just corners, not the ribs in the middle)

99186A136 Weather-Resistant EPDM Rubber Sealing Washers for M10 Screw Size, 10.5 mm ID, 20 mm OD, Packs of 50

Used a $9.99 harbor freight heat gun to remove the metal top from the rubber ribs in the center. I then would peel the rubber taking as much of the black sticky 3M foam tape that adhered to the ribs with it in a single pull. Anything left I would hit with my eraser wheel attached to my drill. $10 Amazon eraser wheel worked fine and also did a good job to clean up the paint under the OEM feet in the corner. I’ll have to do something about the paint that’s bare down to metal in the near future.

Quick question: Why did you get the rubber washers for a M10 when the screws are M5?

Pretty sure I copied the parts exactly from Wit's End website after he was no longer selling. If you look at the picture I provided it seemed to work out perfectly.

I am building stock back up, but it has been slow. Between me merging my two shops and my laser cut part supplier moving, we have been struggling. I have a few 60 and 80 series on the site now. More to come, but I really don't want to over-commit. Not a fan of grabbing people's money and taking weeks to deliver. I want that to be in the 3-5 working days range or better.

Thanks to all that have been fans of these. It is very humbling and MUCH appreciated!

When I rolled up to my tech's in my newly purchased LX450, Eric at Specialized in Urbana, IL, he asked "Where did I get the rack. I've been trying to get one of those for ages." Well, I bought the truck it was attached to I told him. Turns out I'd bought dogfishlake's sister's truck and it also came with a pair of very nice step sliders that are even more unique than the rack.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the Bowfin Cruiser rack, but I quickly modified it to suit me by dropping the crossbars about an 1" after stripping off the rub rails from the port-installed rack that the truck originally came with. I like a little "lip"around the inside perimeter of my racks in order to assist the contents in staying aboard. What this post is mostly about is my mod to host a Starlink Mini. This is the result.

As you can see it sticks out a little like a reefer unit on a semi-trailer, preserving space in the rack itself for cargo.

The Starlink is mounted in an Odin mount which tilts and rotates to. align the Starlink for best reception. It's not powered but can easily be reached when standing on the step slider. Recently I hung a Road Shock 11" light bar underneath it. None of it interferes with sight thru the windshield as the Starlink is above the line if sight and the light is mostly blocked from view by the rearview mirror.. In this positioin the light yield very little glare from the hood, mostly from the two GMRS antennas.

A turnbuckle-tensioned cable runs around the front of the Starlink mount, which helps dampen any motion. The arrangement also helped save the truck from actually being totaled after the inc co totaled it following my whoopsie near Silverton last years. See "Crash Tested " link in my sig line. The tree that stopped the truck from rolling down the mountain came across the windshield, snagging the cable and pulling the whole rack forward about 10". That kept the top of the windshield opening straight and undamaged while the inside of the driver's side A pillar was trashed, which is shy the ins co did what it did. The tree snagged the cable pulling the rack forward with no damage to it.

I bought it back and a donor truck supplied a new A-pillar. While the original Starlink and Odin were destroyed, the monunt just needed to bolt back together. My rebent air deflector proudly displays the Bowfin logo.
