Bowfin Cruisers - Roof racks and more

They are highly spoken of but I can't seem to catch them in stoct

I was under the impression the 100 series didn't get that clamp design same as the 80 did. I am located close to bowfin, and it is preferable to buy local in my book, but I am also an hour from victory 4x4 - so I could go that route as well. Prinsu / CBI just strike me as bigger companies. That could be a good thing in a lot of cases for sure.
If I can offer my 2 cents, I like the way the Bowfin fits on the roof better than the Prinsu. The Prinsu wind deflector seems slightly too far forward in my opinion. The Prinsu is still awesome, just my person preference.

I'm not dead, but back from the dead, so to speak!

Apologies for the disappearance, life has been way, way busy over the last year. Bowfin Cruisers started as a hobby and grew pretty quickly. I bought out my long time business partner in my powder coating business early in 2023 and while it has been great, my workload went through the roof. I have thought very seriously about shutting down the entire rack business, but instead we are going to ramp back up and joint the two companies and try to get a bit more serious here.

One of the biggest reasons to not give up is the fact that the Cruiser community and ih8mud has been so awesome for making new life long friends.

I have a lot of organizing to do, some promised racks to still go out, and some moving to do to get this right but my plan is to have racks on the site in the next couple of weeks and get the ball rolling again. I WILL POST HERE FIRST BEFORE RACKS GO ON THE SITE

Also, I am starting to dig back through emails and get some responses going there.

I am very grateful to all of you that have purchased racks and have had interest in them. The positive feedback and kind words are amazing.

Thank you!
Any update on the next batch of racks? I’m excited to get this on my 80.

Sorry for the crazy long delays. We are still picking it back up, but I am moving Bowfin Cruisers under the ownership of my other shop of 30 years PCS Companies. Things will be easier by having one roof to work under and vendor availability for me will get simpler.
Once that is compete we will get back moving.

I have been and always will be respectful of other brands out there, and encourage people to research, but I don't need links to other vendors on my thread.

Thanks all for the awesome support!

Thank you for this update. Your rack on my 62 is excellent. A rack for my 55 and wife's 80 is in the future. Glad to know that things are moving along.

I would really think about it if you are combining into one LLC.
Assuming exterior aftermarket vehicle parts is not a low liability business and now your business of 30 years is liable forbid anything occurs with Bowfin.
I’ve had my Bowfin rack on my 80 for a year now and love it. Thanks!

Any ETA on the rack availability for the 80-series? Thanks!

Yes, at least a target timeline. I am going to Solid Axle Summit next week and when I get back, we are going to run through all the inventory we have at least. There is stock to produce several 80 racks and a couple of 60 series. Not sure on the 100 yet, possibly one. This will be a move to get things rolling at the new-to-Bowfin shop. I would ask that you check back here on MUD because initially it may be the only place I sell them through. I won't be offering any sales until there is product ready, or nearly ready to ship. At least through starting back up that will be the case.

For now my website stays but I probably won't list stock there, at least for now.

The other bit of bad news is that prices are going to go up a bit. I am not sure how much but every part has gotten more expensive and we are at a point where it just isn't worth it at current pricing. I will try to keep it as reasonable as possible.

Thank you all!

Sounds great - will you post them available on this thread or somewhere else on the forum? Thanks again.

I will post here first. If I do anywhere else, it will be the "Small Business Storefront" in the classifieds

Hey @dogfishlake I scored a pre-owned bowfin rack for my 80 and it's awesome! I'm toying with the idea of a roof mounted light bar. Would it be feasible to buy just the fairing with a cutout for a light bar?

Thanks

That's awesome, keeping my fingers crossed I can score an 80 rack before my trip this fall.
