Any Black Friday specials in the pipeline?

As a vendor, if your product is always out of stock and the limited amount you can make disappear as soon as you place them for sale, why would you want to run a "sale" special price. That said, his product is priced at a competitive level especially based on how much time he puts into individually sorting and packaging each set of screws and attachment. I have assembled several other racks and the guessing game on what goes where is very frustrating .

To answer your question: As a buyer, if you see another vendor offering a “sale” special price for a comparable product, you would want to ask this question as you evaluate purchase options. Prospeed ran a 15% off BF deal.

I understand why you as a buyer want a discount. Everyone wants to get things for less. My statement was pointed to the fact that if you make 10 racks a month and you sell everyone as soon as the hit the store, why would you want to offer a discount. Logical deduction is they are priced correctly.

What would he have to gain buy offering a discount.

Bowfin is currently making racks for obsolete trucks. Finite number of customers. Newest one ceased production in 2007.

Prospeed is making racks for new current run trucks. They also take an order and i assume money, and then tell you 5-7 weeks which may or may not run longer. Different business model.

Got it. This additional color makes sense as to why one vendor may offer a special, while the other one wouldn’t. Just different circumstances.

Michigan. Gotta visit. It's pretty hard to do a pass through, at least East-West direction. Maybe in an Amphicar or an Argo. The farther north you go, the better it gets!

Got my Bowfin rack last month before we headed down to Padre Island in my 1999 UZJ100. I assembled the rack myself in my living room, the guys carried it out for me and set it on top, and I finished assembling it on to my cruiser.
Pat organizes the parts very well which made this job very easy for me to do alone. It fit on top my cruiser perfectly and then held my weight as I loaded up our gear and carried to the beach and back again. I really do love my Bowfin roof rack and all the accessories you can get with it!
I got a roller for my paddle board and kayak to be easily loaded onto the rack. I received a rooftop tent kit, awning kit, racket strap kit, and t-shirts!!
So excited to get our tent up there and camp knowing we will be held safely.
We enjoy Pat and all he does and all he offers!
