Yep, that's right.Put in the back body mounts, finally drivable again. Looks like im leaking fluid from my drive shaft yoke. That means the pinion seal is gone right?View attachment 909469 View attachment 909468
Only thing 12 volt on the truck are the headlights as far as i know. The battery exploded because i made some aluminum tie downs to hold the battery in place but it was just a tad to tight and it cracked the batteryExploded battery eh?
What do you have for 12v accessories on the truck, and how are they wired?
-8 volts?? Sounds like a fun day charging that thingyeah, 24v is, in a word, retarded. In more words...unnecessary, poorly set up, expensive...
I didn't have a battery explode, but I did have a pair that went to 6v on one side, and -8v on the other.
-8v. not a mistake...it got drawn down so hard the polarity actually reversed. Amazingly, I managed to get that battery to take a charge later in the day, I had to charge with a 6v charger at first, but it did come back. Was never quite the same tho...
That was a fun day...![]()
After i had my alternator rebuilt my batteries will still dying and it turned out it was my voltage regulator, adjusted my regulator and everything was good from there on with batteries, until my tie downs cracked one. That was a great first page of pics!
Check your voltage regulator...mine went DOA and was cooking my batteries. After searching for a working original analog, went to a digital regulator and never looked back.
Yup built and welded them my self, used a tig.Nice; did you weld those yourself? Tig? or Mig with a spool gun?
