I have purchased an 84 4runner but the igniter is bad what are my options aftermarket wise could possibly put another one on from another vehicle on there and where should I purchase it from just want a reliable part any suggestions are completely grateful many thanks y'all
I figured you guys could tell me I didn't know if there was something from a land cruiser or something to that nature that could be used to replace it I have no problem using toyota parts prefer it but wanted to seek all my options before jumping on it
I would think any Toyota igniter would work so long as its for a 22r or 22re. I think I have a few extras laying around. I'll let ya know in a few.
And yes...... 84 is still carbureted.
I have on...I think 4 of my old carb toyotas and 1 efi toyota.
they're very very simple to install on carb toyotas. BUT take a pic of your ignitor (mainly pt#) when I did the msd box in my 85 pickup my ignitor was fine and Im sure its still in the garage somewhere. Id sell for cheap if I can find it and you want to go that way. MSD boxes are nice on 4x4s I like the idea of a rev limiter especially on a 22r usually had mine @ 5000
