Funny how when I took this stuff apart, I was so confident that my memory would guide me when it came time to reassemble. 12 years later and a corrupted hard drive and I'm clueless
Anyone out there able to tell me what/ where these go? both are 10mm - thanks

The long, rusty one is a water pump bolt. The short one holds timing cover backing plate to the engine block.

I do not. I could hazard a guess, but it would only be a guess. It is the 3rd of three screws used across the beam of the block. The other two are behind the timing cover, and behind the cam gear. Flathead. Also Slotted. Perhaps it was a physical reminder that this bolt belonged in that ‘set’.

I guess you could call that an educated guess.🤔

That’s the way I organize them when I’m disassembling them. I keep the other two 10s, the ones for the bottom of the timing cover, with their 6mm bretheren.😉
