Appreciate it, yeah I ran into similar issues and just said screw it build one for the next 20 years=[ quite envious of this vehicle as I continue to shop around for my next truck and they are all soooo rusty or cost sooooo much.

it’s a good question, I didn’t know before painting it was compressed when painted and when I installed the sleeve pulled out. Time will tell on that one, my thoughts are it will pull the paint back after a couple compressions. May just get a new driveshaft if problematic.Stupid question but I noticed that you painted even the shaft that's supposed to slide in and out of the drive shaft sleeve. Is that going to be a problem? On my GX that part is shiny steel like a hydraulic cylinder. Shouldn't it be left unpainted so it can slide as needed?
