By the way both Lous. Thanks for the tip on the clardy parts as I have two 40 units that need a complete redo.

Sadly I lost my 20 year parts guy at the local Toyota shop. This came up lately with Lou. According to my two young, "what's the vin #?, parts guys- no Toyota does not.

Clardy?????????? Got a 40 to...........

Do you have the blower number on your 75 fj55? I have not pulled mine as I don't want to have to do the resto on the seals at this time.

The one from my 7/70 went to Lou and it was a big bugger larger than my 7/75 with a resistior externally mounted like the 40's. But my 55 has a smaller blower motor about the size of some sedans and an internal resistor (internal to the blower case that is). I have one sedan blower that looks like it could fit but I have not checked the number or pulled mine yet.

Eric, what seals are you replacing?

Lou

Lou, I really have not looked at it but I am assuming a seal to the body where the fender vent is and one to the firewall and into the ducting and overall a repair kit like shane sells. Really not a problem it's just that I have so much on my plate I don't want to take it apart currently. My garage has scattered parts everywhere. Metal is always relatively good here, but the rubber gets eaten pretty badly...so, taking something off always opens a can of worms.

But I thought marshall's link interesting.

Eric; Cruiser_Guy's recommend was this and it works nicely; used it on the blower box to body; posts # 31, 32 and 33 on body transplant thread hope it helps:cheers:
