I’ve tried searches and can’t seem to find out how to blank out presets for the radio/sat.

There’s 6 sets of presets and right now they are all filled from myself and previous owner.

I only need about 7-10 presets to rotate through.

Any help is appreciated.

You don't erase them.
You simply reprogram them to something else.

Here is how you do that:
-Tune to the station you want.
-**Press Hold down** your chosen preset on the screen until it BEEPS.

Voila!

It's now reprogrammed to your new choice and old one is gone.

But if I only want to rotate between say a few stations, I gotta go through 36 presets to get back to the beginning, lol.

Talking about using the steering wheel control of course.

There’s gotta be a way to blank them ; )

Using the screen, the presets are in sets, with 8 or so all visible at once.
You just poke the one you want and boom.

If you are trying to never leave your steering wheel...can't help ya. ;)

According to my service rep there is no way to delete the presets. I have decided that the best work around would be to enter your stations in order again and again and again until all the presets are filled. It is a pain to have to hit the audio button on the dash to change stations. In my ‘14 the wheel controls cycle in some arcane manner that defies interpretation while the ones on the dash change in the order they were programmed. I enjoy it even more because I don’t have a satellite account and the wheel controls cycle through them too.

Can't blank them out. Using the steering wheel you're stuck scrolling through all 36 of them. Dumb as hell, I know. You can do the repeat trick as noted above. Still annoying though.

2016+ some of the "newer" tech trickled up to the LC.
So in those years you can change the number of preset pages which helps a bit... but still doesn't solve the issue.

Welcome to Toyota Tech... :bang:

Book says if you disconnect the battery the presets are erased. Not sure if that means blank though.
Running with the theme of how Toyota Tech is... "erased" presets probably mean all 36 slots are filled with 88.7 or random.

I do see how that would be annoying.

The idea of programming multiple times might be the ticket, but wow--what a pain in the booty... Love the Cruiser, but Mr. Toyota didn't exactly go all out on the infotainment systems. ;) I rely on my phone, and satellite for that...

I do appreciate all the responses put into my laziness of not wanting to leave the steering wheel : )

Guess I’ll preset them all to my favorite station, 100.1 Sun Radio. Wife hates it. This should be fun the next time she’s in the car
; )

Wow, people still listen to the radio?

Last time I did that, it seemed like a constant stream of commercials with occasional interruptions to play some music.

Have you tried the "Secret Squirrel" tech menu?

Hold down the DISP button with the ignition switch on and turn the parking lights on/off three times. I can't remember what's there exactly, but there is an audio diagnostic/reset menu.

I'm a big fan of that station and loved when they gave news, weather, and the "farmers almanac" report for the morning. Won some concert tix from them a time or two also!

My radio rarely changes from that station preset BTW

Sun Radio is probably the last great local station in Central Texas. I love it. Hand picked song lists and rare live playbacks. I mean what more could you ask for!

Wow. Wasn't sure if your post was serious, but sure enough... Whole mess of screens come up...including resetting memory of various aspects. Don't know if it includes radio presets, and didn't want to click reset without knowing what I'm resetting...but here are some of the screens you get access to:

I tuned in this afternoon as we are in town for week. How have I not heard of Sun Radio before? I have given up on traditional radio and only listen to satellite, but will tune in when in Central Texas.

People really only know it by bumper stickers or word of mouth. It’s awesome! There’s more grass roots Americana stations around the country like Sun Radio. Just gotta hunt them down!

Glad you enjoyed it : )
