Greetings, my fellow degenerates. Black Friday 2025 is nigh!

Curious if there are any ideas of what this year will be like with tariffs potentially causing inventory issues(?) if any, or if anyone’s heard of Lexus/Toyota dealership sales happening this year. Currently Lexus is running 15% off site wide for Halloween, will it get any better than this? A quick look through the forum showed that there have been sales as good as 30%.

My recently acquired 06 LX is up for some due maintenance at 185k miles. During a front brake job, we found that my front axles were replaced at some point with non OEM parts, so I’m in need of new axles/hubs, diff seals, and all the hardware up there. I’ve got a pretty good clunk when shifting between R and D.

I’m also up for a new radiator and associated parts, pretty sure I’m still on the original one.

Should I wait to place this order? I just spent $525 on a new mirror for my fiance’s NX200t, maybe I should’ve waited haha

I only use those Lexus sales for LX specific parts. Everything else can be had from Toyota.

Do not expect another 35% off sale like in 2022. The most common sale is 25%, with some lower mixed in.

Your clunk could be numerous things. Are the boots on the driveshafts torn? If no other issue, that’s a big investment just to replace a clunk.

Look for the best price of a radiator locally to avoid fin damage. I had mine shipped and had good luck, but others did not fare as well.

It’s definitely the axles. Actually it was another user on here who gracefully lent me his time, knowledge, and shop (goals) to help me with the brake job. We found the axles were pretty worn and there was a lot of play between the axle and hubs.

I keep an eye on both Toyota and Lexus sales, I haven’t really found Toyota being cheaper than Lexus every time. I’ve bought stuff from both bc sometimes some random Lexus dealer is cheaper than Toyota.

I plan on buying the radiator in person from a local dealer

I need a set of Torsion bars, hoping Ironman has a sale. I think they did 25% off last year, but of course all their prices are up now, so nothing is really that good of a deal anymore
Have you looked at Patch's torsion bars? Not sure of a sale but from his video I saw a few weeks ago the ironman tbars are better if you have a real heavy front end.

I've got a set of Tough Dog TBs I'd like to get out of the garage.

Waiting to jump on a new rack, TREs, brake booster swap, front diff rebuild parts, and a few others items. I talked myself out of a 200 recently, so ol' Gerry gets some new goodies instead.

25% off sale at Toyota Online Parts Center… going on now.

I ordered from Toyota of Sylacauga, Alabama on the Toyota Online Parts Center… no sales tax and free shipping to California. Enter your California delivery address, and they remove the sales tax.

Part Number: 44250-60050 New Power Steering rack, not remanufactured.

$521.02 delivered… from what I found, that’s pretty good pricing.

Trying to hit as many black Friday deals as I can to prep for a long trip in February. Got some new tires (gonna try out the Toyo A/T III EV in 275/70R18), WKOR rock rails, and HFab tailgate storage conversion kit. Still need to order Bora wheel spacers. Also considering the Trail Tailor trans/tc protection plate. Maybe some other armor too? Then I need to go down the list of OEM parts I might need, to take advantage of the Toyota deals.

Tires on sale somewhere?

I decided to bite the bullet and pre-order a new ‘classic’ front bumper from Iron Man. Pretty good deal going right now, pre-orders coming with a free 12,000lb winch, I’m saving money as that is what I was gonna do…. Looks like I’ll be waiting a while as probably not going to ship until March. I don’t mind the wait, It’ll give time to assemble all the other parts and rebuild my Hellas.

After reading one of 2001LC's posts about brakes this morning I'm heading to AutoZone for rubber bleeder valve caps. Some headlight bulbs too.

Happy Holidays!!

Baja Design lights which were 20% off.

It’s easy to rack up $1500 during these sale events. Wondering if there will be a Christmas/New Year sale as I need to place a Toyota order.

As far as Black Friday, I ordered a LRA 40g replacement fuel tank which is being delivered on Monday.
