Hi All:

Har, har! :grinpimp:

Bull, cut that sh*t off and try again! I knew I shouldn't leave you without proper supervision - once Tor and I left you dropped-off the deep end! :p

BTW - thanks for the yummy burger and the PBRs! :D

Regards,

Alan

nice... put some horns on it and call it a day!

Hi All:

"Orange Crate" is building a LJ73, so there is a mid-wheelbase slider design already on the road, due to be Moab tested later this month.

I'm sure Bull can hook you up with a set! He offers other services as well.

Regards,

Alan

Bull I will have to take a drive down to Seattle and see if you or we can come up with a design for the middys HZJ73s and BJ74s. Could be a fair market just a couple hours north. Anyways the sliders look super sturdy and really good . I wish I had the time to do some . Thanks for the post (it is one of the best I have seen in 70series tech in a long time)

Hi All:

Bull, Bull, Bull . . . . where did we go wrong?

The front bumper was coming along so well!

Silly rabbit - tube is for roll cages! :D

Hi All:

Rod, sorry, it just looks "fugly" to me! :frown:

Is your aim to increase the frontend protection? Or, for cosmetic reasons? Or ,were you just crazy to bend tube? :D

Seriously, "Horton" is coming along nicely -and is gonna be looking good down in Moab!

Alan

You saying you don't like it huh? You have seen my 80. I need all the protection I can get.. Going to cut the tubing off now..

I made mostly for wheeling around here in the northwest. Keep the s*** off the winch, grill and wings. It seems everytime I go out I get a branch or log dent on the front end. Also the out tubes support the wings.

As for the design I didn't do the plane jane ARB hoop with vertical bars..yawn. Thinking outside the box. You just don't like it because it is foreign :flipoff2: Like any new design it will grow on you eventually.

I'm also building it to use and not win car shows ;)

I don't think it's too bad. I would probably like to see a main hoop in the middle with a small support off the winch plate where the 2 meet in the middle. It's kinda awkward the way they meet in the middle. Otherwise I kinda like it.

Thanks for the feedback. I still may play with the hoops after moab.

You are also seeing it in its raw state. Once I get it all one color I think the hoops won't stand out as much.

I thought about a main hoop, but decided for some smaller ones. I looked at a lot of Venezuelan 70 series for inspiration. I will aslo get some side photos up.

That's a badass design; I like it a lot. Nice to see some fresh bends out there!

agreed, great work Bull. Now beat on it and post some pictures up!
