I would hold off on re-gearing the axles until you got everything else done and then decide you still need the gearing. If you are only going with 33" tires especially. Just my opinion:grinpimp:

X2 In fact most of us run 33 with 4:11s you are probably (or wife) want to use second now to start off in town with the H55F, cant wait to see the finished product

So you think 3.73 + 35s + Turbo = no biggie?

That might be fine on the road, but not so great off road. My non turbo 70 with 4.1 and 33's is fine for crawling around on most stuff around here in first gear - it sucks when I need second gear low to get up a slippery hill .

Around town its perfect.

I would do the turbo or the 35' mod 1st,and then see how it the diff ratio you have is. If its fine, money saved,if not you were going to do it anyway:D

Let it evolve from need ;):D

Hi mate, this turbo come from of the toyota engine ?? or another engine?? thank you for your help,:cheers:

P.D.: :hmm: sorry for my english :bang:

Yes the CT26 I have is from a Supra. We shall see how it goes.

I will most likely have the turbo done before the gears, but will be adding the 4.56 regardless to help with the offroad bit.

For the same amount of money, you probably could get your transfer case re-geared instead for better off road ability. I would wait and see how it does on the road and if you are satisfied with that, then consider re-gearing the transfer case. OF course if this will be only a trail rig and not a daily driver, then it would not matter. Re-gearing your axles you will need to consider how high your rpm's will be for daily driving/use.

Most of the threads I've read on regearing the transfer case has resulted in a loud gear whine. Anybody have a different experience?

I'd regear it for sure. 456 isn't that extreme. I was driving around in my old FJ45 that had turboed 3b, 5speed, 411's and 35's, and once you were up to speed it went like hell, but 456's would've been nice.

Always felt like I was driving the piss out of it to get it to go anywhere, however it still went better than my bj70 with no turbo, 411's and skinny 33's.

Nice! What size Toyo's did you end up getting?

Hey Rodney... you sure have alot of energy. Nice looking lift. I am now subscribed to this thread.

Nice, I kinda like the clean front end with the oem bumper. Ya gotta move that diesel emblem to the other side tho ;)

nice... were those rims on your white 60?

No these came off a FJ Cruiser that I worked on.

Emblem is on the wrong side? I like the clean look to, that being said I'm in the process of designing front and rear bumpers for it.

Front will hold a 8274.
