Greetings to all mudders!

Here's my humble corroded BJ70 which has been idling for 3 years and recently resurrected :D... Well basically she has not gone through any modification yet.

Year of made: 1986
Engine: 2L-T
Standard suspension

Plans (short term):
(1) Get her inspected in order for her to be able to go on the road legally.
(2) Get the AC fixed! You definitely do not want your aircond to fail with the humid weather here in Malaysia.
(3) Get electrical checked. Not major but wiring seems to be all over the place. Although basic function like lights, horn, alternator etc are working. Better make sure everything is on point as I plan to take this as my daily.

Plans (Long Term):
1. Get bodywork done, rust removal, new paint.
2. New set of wheels.
3. New front seats as the current one was torn.

That's all for now. Hope to learn from all the guru here. Have a great day peeps!

I will update once there is any progress done to my rig! Till then, cheers !

Yes that's a 22R and the model is an RJ70(its stamped on the plate). It was called a Bundeera in Australia, Prado in Japan.
Yours looks like a 4sp with a H 41 gearbox.
It was made at the "Z 34" plant. Anyone know where that is?

Hello,

Welcome to the madness.

The lettering on the VIN plate does not look like the usual from Toyota in Japan.

Was there another plant assembling Bunderas back in the day?

Juan

That engine looks distinctly 2L-T-esque, whatever the data plate might say.

It is an 2L-T, and printed in the registration card as well. No idea why the VIN shows otherwise :)

hi, what is the box on ur dash box?

I think it was a knock down kit......which partially explains part of the VIN plate. But its odd it says RJ(22r) on both plates under the hood

There is an Toyota assembly plant base in shah alam, Malaysia.
I think Z34 refer to that particular plant.

Hello,

Interesting.

Another plant that assembled Land Cruisers.
