I did some searching on Google and here, but couldn't find any definitive information. Does anybody have the specs for alignment of an '88 BJ70? Everything is bone stock, other than the tires, which are 175/65R15.

Found them. Just in case anyone else needs them, here they are.

would this be a good baseline for an PZJ77 with an OME kit sitting on 8.5r16's

Tire wear is good? What about "return to straight" on turn out?

yes, the only issue that i am having is the front springs settled a bit so i need to adjust the tie rods to center the wheel. From steve jackson

"1989 US Land Cruiser (FJ62) which is close enough to work."

20k kms with tire rotation every 5, not seeing any weird tire wear. Id be interested to see what others are doing

Frankly speaking, with how anal many of us are I'm surprised there isn't more information out there.

I brought it with me too. I'll post up what they dial mine into. The guy said he'd give me a print out. I'll upload as pdf

Mine. Seems to drive well. I would like the "return to straight" to be smoother. Steering is a bit heavy (which I like). There is some slop in the wheel but that is likely due to the steering column. Overall happy with the feel.

Good job. Being a RHD JDM model, it was aligned for left side crowned roads, which caused mine to drift hard to the right. After alignment, it stays centered beautifully. Mine is an '88 and still has under 60k miles.

So I did some highway driving and it feel phenomenal. At 90km the truck tracks straight as can be without hand on the wheel. No more wandering (which I wasn't sure if it was the skinny 33x8 tires or the doodoo steering linkage).

Whatcha running 33x8? or is 8 the rim width

Michelin XZL 8.25r16. Roughly a 33.5" x 8.25" tire. They really shine in muddy tracks. Low drag, high grip even when not aired down. I really like them for everything but highway cruising. When I get overtaken by commercial trucks I get pushed by their air current. I think my next set will be 255/85r16 or similar.

Looking at post #2, it seems the alignment settings are the same for both LHD and RHD. Anybody know?

The suspension shop I use is a specialist in Landcruisers. He says the Landcruisers (70/60 series) are designed for flat roads ,so no LH RH
In Australia its normal for them to drift to the left because of the camber on the road

Yeah, I don't even know how one would adjust for road crown on a SFA vehicle. Caster is not independently adjustable and there's nothing factory that would adjust camber. :meh:

That's what he said from memory.
I had a HJ61 in there and he was surprised it went so straight. He said some of them do but the majority don't. He lent one of his employees the money to buy it off me.
