1981 BJ42 3B air filter, is it the same as all 3Bs? There are some numbers in the FAQ section, they seem to be for the 3B& 13BT, and seem to be for the 70 series, does anyone have a part # I could use here in the states?

Yes, the same...I had bought an aftermarket equivalent from NAPA before. Unfortunately, I've lost the invoice and part #. Will try and look for it for you.

*EDIT: Surprisingly, they list the 3B diesel as an engine option in their NAPA.com online catalogue! Here's the air filter part number: BA 0421456 (NAPA)

Thanks Sotne, I thought It would be useless to even try. I am goning to napa this am and will ask them for the part.

Yep NAPA has fuel, oil, and air filters for the 3B. I haven't gone past filters to ask about other parts, but you might give it a try mall...

Is it a different brand than the NAPA/WIX part number that I quoted in the earlier post, Wayne? And if so, which brand and what kind of quality? Always good to know of alternatives as Toyota might not keep the OEM ones on the shelf for too much longer (in light of the recent D/C of their 3B TRD filters). Thanks.
