How many times have you guys been approached in a parking lot with your LC? Just happened again tonight at Lowe's. This dude was all over the 60 asking questions about where I got it. He said he's been looking for a cruiser a long time but nobody wants to sell them. It would be nice to hand somebody a card, say "check out Mud" or "STLCA" and help a brotha out. Maybe even get them in the club and some $$$ right? I've got Roger's card of course but has anybody thought about making generic ones for all of us to carry? All this guy would have to do is clicky on the "classifieds" and whala- all the series LC's for sale he wants. What-cha thunk MUD?

we've talked about this...a lot :D We just need a graphic artist to put it together...hint, hint, nudge, nudge.

Thinking a 1/4 (or 1/8) page flyer with STLCA/TLCA and Mud info...These would also be good for placing on random Cruiser windshields.

I have a color Laser Printer at work that could be used to print them, or we can price out a run...if someone can design them
:bounce::bounce2::flipoff2::bounce::bounce2:

I could put something together with the STLCA graphic and the IH8mud site and our web site on it. The stock is cheap and in black and white I could print it for free. (Sans the stock) If you want color, see Steve.

Maybe:

"It's not a Jeep"
And the logos and web site info below.

FYI Years ago, the Ga Cruisers had cards made up like this. Each member had a membership card (for presentation at local parts sources to get discount) and several 'business cards' to hand out. The business cards had basic info about meeting times/location, chapter website and TLCA website, plus a place where you could write your name & phone number. This worked reasonably well; I gave out a few and so did other members which generated visitors at meetings and new members. However, it was a good idea that fell by the way due to weak committment by the officers the next year. Once, the initial printing run of cards were used up; there was no follow-up printing.

Buisness cards have worked the best for me and are easy to print with the Avery online program. The club has access to additional issues of Toyota Trails, I always carry a few in the truck and put a card in them when I give them out, I'll bring some to the next meeting for you all to hand out. I can make up some generic cards that list the website and forum that you fill in your name and phone number if you all want them.

Oh, one more thing! If possible can we add this pic to the biz card?

We are trying to recruit new members not scare them away.
If some one could work up a good flyer, I believe Bob would put them in orders going to TN addresses.

Hey save everyone money and trouble. How about a link to a webpage or word doc. with the info .
All you do is click the link add your name in one spot and print your own page out of business cards one sheet of regular paper.
and cut them up and put them in your landcrusiers dash for passing out.
Keep it simple and people will come.......

I actually started doing it but the art on the STLCA web site is too grainy. Does someone have access to a higher res JPG or something?
I was just going to put the web site and something about the forum on it. Maybe Roger's number;)

just wanted to bump this because its a good idea. at one time i saw a flier on i think tlca's web site but i can not find it now. said something like "you have the truck now join the club". im always telling people about mud, tlca and stlca but i think something you could hand them with all the info would be better.

I have the blank cards, but my computer crashed and I lost the art work, been to busy fixin Todd's cruiser and getting ready to go to Alaska to do them, will get them done when I get back.

All I did before was scan a club sticker and use it. It is still on my list but if some one else wants to take it on have at it.

CARDS ARE HERE!! After many weeks of "creative differences" with my graphics designer friend we finally got a design we were both ok with. They arrived at my door step about 5 min. ago. My plan is to give a large stack to Rodger and Todd and divide the rest. I will be at the OTMT next weekend so can hand deliver then and at the Sept. meeting. Post here if you need me to mail them to you. Also once everyone has seen them use this thread for suggestions on changes to be made for the next printing.
