So from what I can tell Big Meats Run 2013 is going to happen over the weekend of MAR 16th. I'm planning to head south on Sunrise, 14th MAR and start the return on 10:00AM(ish) 17 MAR. I typically stay at Rec area #2 (the same place we were at circa spring .... when Jobe rolled). I hope to get there in time. I understand it is first come first serve. I'm 99.9% sure a Zuke, or two, will be joining me, and a wet, tumbled FJ40, right Jobe?

ASI H8- i would like to hear more about the trip into Sooner Country. I'm very new to the club and just now getting to know the ropes. Any information would be helpful. Do they have a websight I can get my own info...?

Thanks

Google Big Meats Run 2013. There is info on pirate4x4. Not taking my rig, but going as a pasenger.

Here's some info. on general wheeling in disney - a little dated..

http://www.extreme4wheelin.com/langley_disney.htm

A few things a first timer should know - you can get around to most area'a in a fairly stock rig - and then watch the big rigs keep pushing till they break something.

It's been two years since I've been but I think it's safe to say

Yes, there will be 300+ rigs

Yes, there will be alcohol consumed

Yes, someone is going to get stupid and get hurt.

Most people.aren't there as part of any organized trail ride, and as individuals I doubt half.of them are organized enough to wipe from back to front and just smear it around in a circle.

That being said, lots of nice folks there too, lots of stuff to watch - some good some not so good - one guy two years ago even had the guys on pirate saying 'I wasn't going to stand ther and watch this guy kill himself'. Pirate4x4 does seem to have the best infor.ation on it though. If you can wade through pirate.

All that said, if I'm well enough, I'll be ther

What are you running these days. I talked to someone that said they bought your last rig.

Ya' sold it to a nice guy from Witchita last March. I miss it every now and again. This past november I picked up a 2006 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Sport (no locker, just lsd, but a bigger rear axle I believe). Pretty stock for now, ok, completely stock if you don't count the silly Westin Tube Steps. Definately needs a lift and tires and lockers and slider and.....and... Different worls from 80's but I'm still exploring the dirt so all is well.

Good to hear. Wish I could come down and play. Just joined a tax accounting firm, so I have a few busy months with no kitchen passes. :bang:

Thanks for all the 80 advice when I was looking! I really appreciated your advice.

Cheers.

What Walking Eagle said.
I'm by no means am I a guru, when it comes to Disney. At best, a rookie. This event is me, heading south, to do some wheeling. It isn't associated to TAC or TLCA. I just thought I'd let ya'll know where I'm heading. If ya want to come on, come on.

Once again this year the :princess: and I will be heading down in the LX to see what we can break this year. Going down Friday day, hope to be there around 4-6p. We will probably be around the falls hanging out :steer:. Feel free to yell at us if you want to , or if you have to .

Baby steps

Yeah I remember that.... My spotter made me take the baby line. Thought I was in a mall parking lot. lol. Got the NEW military 37" MTR's on last week. They are nice and love the side walls. Brining an extra one just in case. Hope to see you all there, it's been awhile since we went anywhere fun, and Disney is my favorite place within a couple hundred miles. Colorado is our next excursion, here in the very near future.
