I was planning on heading up Friday, getting some tires and camping out, but school has got me tied up until Friday afternoon. When and where will we be meeting and will I have enough times to get some nice used tires mounted at 49 Tire in the morning on the way up?
Val confirmed. She was concerned that she wasn't going to be able to finish all of her maintenance items by then, but it looks like she will..........you know how she is about wanting everything on her truck to be right.......Put us down for 2
I think Dog's are OK in a National Forest. Never seen otherwise.
OK, here is the scoop as I know it.
We are going to concentrate in the SW portion of the National Forest first. We are looking for Boykin Church, a creek crossing and an old destroyed bridge. I have the general area where we will start.
South of Puckett on HWY 18 before Raleigh.
Looks like Bodean's camp is to the north out of Forest. We are going to mess around in the SW part of the Forest and then work our way toward Forest after lunch trying to stay on National Forest roads the entire time.
I understand the SW portion is the hilliest and has the curviest roads. Should be lots of fun just exploring our backyard.
For the record, Bodean has no idea where his deer camp is.
So, let me just get this right since I have a flight to catch Sunday afternoon. This is a day ride...starting Saturday morning and ending Saturday night...correct? Are you guys going to camp out on Saturday night or is everyone going to head back to Jackson?
Headed back home. Day trip. Wandering. Don't get your hopes up too high, this is Mississippi.
Not sure it is worth a trip down from TN for this. We might love it, but none of us have ever been. Its a bunch of dirt roads. Excuse to get together and take some pictures and ride.
also a wrenching session weekend as well at casa ross. saturday night and before the superbowl wrenchin' than eating and watching football. my kind of weekend!
Would be a great excuse to ride down and pick up your gas tank, Mark. Maybe install just the tank part of your auxillary gas tank setup so you won't have to move it around.
