Trying to install the channel for a Bestop bikini top. Two of the channel holes partially line up with the holes for the hard top. The rest of them I can drill out. Anyone here know how that’s supposed to work?

Mine had nuts beneath my windshield top holes. Had to bore out the holes of the best top windshield channel to make it fit. If yours doesn’t not have nuts, you could always use nutserts to make it work.

Jen,

What suspension is that? I looks like your rear wheels are perfectly centered in the well and you have great shackle angles. Bet it rides nice.

Curious how holes are in the windshield frame? Original windshields from around 1965 had seven fixed nuts. Somewhere in the late 1970s the holes were on all windshield frames. Only FST had the welded nuts. US did not get any FST once three point seat belt were required starting 1/76. Unfortunately not around my loose late model windshield but believe it still had seven holes. Because it has two wire believe it is 10/81 or newer.

It’s a modified Red Line Land Cruiser 2.5” FJ40 Lift Kit, (which uses Pro Comp leaf springs I believe), but I used Cruiser outfitters shackles all around. It does ride reasonably nice, but I don’t have anything to compare it to since this is my first 40 I’ve owned and driven.

I’m sure it’s the Cadillac of 40’s.
