Regional searching is good... but low miles, carfax, a maintenance record, and knowing the previous owner doesn't have a daggar tattoo or is also good stuff to know.

My 97 I picked up in Houston was in great shape. Maybe it matters where the PO parks it for it's life time .. in a garage or out of doors.

Thanks for the input. THe 80 I've got now is a real beaut, and I got it from NEast coast. Quite a trip back to the west. I'd like to get one in Oregon I think because its the most moderate of all the west coast climates. Also, I understand that LA/S.Cal is more expensive typically than other regions. I'm trying to time this potentially with spring break coming up... we'll see.
