It’s hard to gauge how well the design is from the website.
I've seen too many complaints on the different Facebook groups and on forums here about the TEQ lights for me to be comfortable purchasing from them. For the amount of money they're asking, you shouldn't be getting a product that has been repeatedly compared to a bottom-of-the-barrel Chinesium headlight. I couldn't justify the expense vs the risk =/

It's a shame too, all the designs look really good on their website. I just wish they had a 3D builder that shows you the product as you pick and choose from the different options.

I've had mine for a year now with no issues (LX470).

My two cents in post #17 in this thread: If (big "if") you want to go the "best stock performance:" New glass headlamp assemblies + Daniel Stern recommended Vosla 9012 (HIR2) +120 bulbs (2.8V, 55W, 1975 lumens) for low beams and Toshiba HIR1 9011 bulbs (9011, 12.8V, 65W, 2530 lumens) for high beams.

No complaints in terms of performance. Much better performance - at least the :princess: thinks so - than even some HID lights.

This is what I'm running now. Unfortunately the light output is still not enough, even though I'm getting 12v at the headlight assembly; they  are the original assemblies though so that couldalso be the issue. The fog lights give me better visibility (Rigid D2 + Ben3d fog light assembly).

All right, so has anybody bought any aftermarket for 06-07 100 series headlights? Just the one housings….Are Toyota headlights that much more robust or better?

I had tried Stern's recommended bulbs in the original assemblies over the years and didn't see (pun intended) much change. But new housings (mine were 26 years old last year) proved to be the game changer. The reflective material in new glass housings made a big difference. I waited for one of the 25% sales at one of the southeast Toyota dealers.

ditto here, though I haven't installed yet.

So you got the glass setups? I debated on going that way but I would love to modernize my lighting setup with giving up OE headlight setup.

Based on a reviews from Chronically Cruiser and others, I don’t want to go with TEQ brand. I am interested in the Lightwerks product line. Given that they charge $700 for new OEM headlight cases for the (06-07) platform that seems excessive. But they need a set to modify to give you the upgrade you’re looking for. So either you provide a set, or you buy housings from them at 700…. Yikes

So I have seen aftermarket lenses on partsgeek and others that are aftermarket. They proclaim they are exact fit, blah blah blah. I’m just wondering if anyone has had good luck with buying a set of these?

I have replaced with Daniel Stern's bulb and they are better than what was in there BUT, he recommends new assemblies as said above. That is the real culprit. Old headlights lose their reflective abilities according to Stern.

I have been waiting too. Labor Day sale has them at $257 ea. Bw, I use Cruisin4parts to do an internet search for parts. Cuts down on alot if searching BUT it seems they started using Chatgpt and I haven’t gotten used to it yet.

I have glass enclosures and don't particularly want to go to plastic. Just wondering though, is there a way to change that yellowed plastic inside the enclosure? I feel like it's contributing to my headlights sucking

..the yellow really doesn't come through on the picture, but it's the little plastic caps that go around the actual bulb

I went with Lightwerkz for a HID conversion on new OEM 2006-2007 headlights.

I bought headlights during the 25% sale and put Lightwerkz address as the receiving address. I did coordinate this with them ahead of doing this so would recommend the same. They said to include your personal name on the person receiving so they can keep track of who is sending what to them.

I was told the boxes the lights arrived in weren't great but luckily no damage so might remind whatever dealer you buy them from to be aware of these being fragile items being shipped.
