Currently running 285/65/18's KO2s load range E and would not mind something a bit softer while not sacrificing much in terms of handling.

Already have 17" wheels on standby and thinking 285/75/17 tires, no regearing, so would prefer not something overly heavy either.

Anyone tried Cooper Discoverer Stronghold A/T? Do these have 3 ply sidewall in the above size?

What is everyone using for All Terrain Tires? Curious on size of the AT tire that also accommodates chains for extreme winter situations.

Thank you.
I just replaced my Nitto Ridge Grappler 285x65x18 (56,000 miles) with Nito Terra Grappler 285x65x18. I'm a Nitto FanBoy , stayed withe the brand. I wanted a smoother ride with better wet/ traction ability.

Another fairly new option - The Yokohama AT4. I couldn't find much in the way of reviews, especially for E load tires. I got 275/70/18

Really happy with their road manners so far. Pretty quiet. Don't ride too harsh at ~38 psi.

Will report back once I get them in the rocks and snow

It looks to be LT…..38 may be too low.

My short list of tires for my next set has the Stronghold at the top. I'm on 285/70R17s, leaning towards the 295/70R17 to get a slightly larger tire without going all the way to the 285/75R17 while gaining a bit of width.

Many will say to go with the Michelin XZL, but I think the sidewalls are too stiff, so I go with these on my daily commuters...

With 0 psi on bead locks I assume?
I actually put a vaccuum on them and run at -5 PSI, I really like the sidewall flex over speed bumps, but of course beadlocks
