Not a LC, but a :steer: UC member nonetheless, so no flaming...

Last Saturday we took a day trip up to Jasper, TN to scope out some new-to-us trails. We've been up to this area 2X before and a large part of the trails are in the basin of a large watershed area (Sequatchie river). This made for some interesting wheeling. The day before we know they got 2+ inches of rain. So this time we attempted to start on higher elevations and work our way into the trails (Google Maps show a lot of the roads, actually).

Her carb sputtered out a few times (still haven't installed the offroad kit), but she motored through just everything we did in my FJ and without the benefit of lockers.

Here's the good stuff:

Props to Cat and Bertha for some great teamwork this weekend. It was a fun trip and one that I'd love to do again (without the wrong turn and nearly dumping the Guac-a-cado into the river).

Long live the Grand Cruisineer! Or is it the Land Wagoneer?

Looks like fun. Something very Right about seeing a FSJ roaming the trails. Looking good, now just need the animal print...

I've GOT to get wheeling soon!

AWESOME!!!!!!!! I need to go there!!! I'll be working in Paducah, KY this summer and I fully intend on exploring Land Between the Lakes and any other trails I can find while I'm up there. I look forward to reporting back. Good to see more of Bertha too!!

Might be better that way!!LOL

That's the spot where I thought I was a goner. I was leading us out and we had done the high line going in without too much issue, so I thought I could just do the same thing on the way out. By the time my rear wheel got up on those rocks I started to get that OH SHizzLe feeling. The rest of the group winched across after seeing me pull that stunt. Scary stuff.
