Thats what I wanted to know. I thought the windscreen might move forward all fall back without the roof .
I suspected those 2 bolts were to hold it up ,but I wasnt sure

So just to be clear, the two bolts keep the windscreen from moving forward, so if you were driving down the road and slammed on the brakes, the windscreen would fly forward and hit the hood without the two bolts in place.

However the windscreen cannot move anymore back toward the driver because of the design, stops (where the bolts go) and hinges.

Hope that clarifies

Cheers,

Michael

Perfectly,I suspected that was how it worked. I was thrown off once by a someone who rebuilt mine crusers for a job and he told me once the roof was off the windscreen would just fall down.
Turned out he was a pastry cook who had only been there 3 days:rolleyes::D

you have to hit the brakes pretty hard for the windshield to fall forward...
but then it only takes once and you loose the glass, and dent the hood...

Of course that was theoretical as well as assuming you have no roof, no support structure touching the windshield, and going down hill at a high speed...and then slamming on the brakes :D

hummm, i usually remove a leaf or two out of the rear and i find the 75 rides quite nice...

of course a good aftermarket suspension works well...

should have done something with the suspension , like coil it or something, your gonna hate the harsh ride :D

I have a Dobinson's suspension on it and I already have a 79 series and I am very happy with the ride :D.

Michael

Awesome project! I, for one, am totally jealous! :D

Quick question, how do you get these in the country? From Canada? And is it easier to get the parts here than a whole truck?

This 75 series Pickup is NOT a mine Truck and is NOT from canada. It is Left hand drive from Middle East.

I few more pics of the progress over the last week. I quickly realized that putting a top back on a 75 series pickup is a lot like putting the top back on a 40 series after is has been of for a long time. In this case a few tweeks here and there and it fit back on.

I was not sure what I am going to do for a rear bumper so for now I just put back on the old one, as you can see, I did not clean it up much, unlike the blasting and powder coating on the mounts for the rear bumper :D

Today perhaps I will get the bed back on.

nah, anytime someone posts up a rare (and seemily illegtal or questionable) unit then they barraged with "how did you get that in the country?"

no offense to you personally. Mickeal, myself and a few others have had these questions asked again and again and again to the point of it going past frustration to humorous...
