Washed bottles today so I can bottle my first batch. It should be ready in a couple weeks. It is at 5.1%ABV right now.

I hope one has "SHUSH" written on it!! cool bottle tree!

Nice glass!

I had a pint of Covington Bayou Bock last night. Marginal. A cut above BMC, but that's not much of a compliment.

Nice work!

I've got a honey nut brown ale in the secondary fermenter right now. I think it is going to turn out real nice! It will be brewing in there for the next few weeks, which is good, because I am flying out to LA tomorrow and will not be home for a while. My wife and I are picking up a 40!!!

Not sure but I may have confused things by moving this post to the beer thread.

HB 1422 passed the house today. If it passes the senate, it will increase the ABW to 8% or about 10% ABV. Keep your fingers crossed. The home brewing bill hasn't seen any action yet, so it may die in committee.

This bunch of idiots that run this state will let it die.

The beer selection at Publix in Sandestin was not great, but I had to get this one. It was pretty good. It said brewed by Mississippi Brewing Company, Utica New York.

I'm ignorant of Mississippi politics. What's the prediction on HB 1422 passing in the senate? If it passes, will the governor sign it?

He may not sign it but on his last day in office he will pardon a few murderers.

I guess I can understand why Barbour wouldn't want all those pardoned murderers out on the streets gettin' drunk on good beer, but isn't he out of office now?
