Can we get a tentative roll call for those who will/may be joining for MNF Saturday? Just so we have a sense of how many we expect?

So far it looks like:

Me - confirmed
@100kiwi - confirmed
@gluaisrothai - mostly confirmed assuming no snafus
@awesomeissquid - mostly confirmed assuming parts arrive

Anybody else? Post below and I can edit this post as needed.
Covid negative, sitting near the gate in New Delhi. Should be good to go.

Wish I could make it, bummed to miss another one. @1world1love you up for a Presidents’ Day weekend adventure ?

I might try and camp up at Lakeview Friday night and come down in the morning. My family isn't too keen on going or letting me leave, so I've got work to do.

For radio, did you all settle on HAM?

I have ham but no license. I use it to monitor. On trail, FRS/GMRS usually does the trick.

I won't be able to make it this time. Have fun everyone. I'll try to make it for the next excursion.

I just talked to a Ranger in Willows. No road closures that affect us.
Only things he mentioned were M10 is still closed due to land slide and the water crossing is quite deep where M10 crosses the rice fork. Apparently the land owner likes to dam up the creek to make it deeper.

We won't see any snow tomorrow, only Hull, Goat and Snow mountaina are still white.

I did find a connection from twin Valleys to Goat Mountain/M10. It's road 17N07. It would get us some elevation but add about 10 miles to the trip.
I want to at least stop and check out the road conditions for future reference as we pass by.

See ya all in the morning

Edit: here's the gaia map with 17N07

I am fine with whatever. Looks like another option would be to keep going up 17N04. Those switchbacks look fun.

We could make it a game time decision as well based on how much time we have at that point.

Aren't the switchbacks to the north of Crabtree Springs private property and gated off?

Just north of this point:

Yes they are. And those people are kind of nuts. A friend of mine's brother got held at gunpoint trying to pass through there a few years back. Then tied to a tree for a number of hours before they let him go. So I haven't gone through 17N04 in a long time.

But yes the switchbacks were fun
