Ok guys, the last piece of this is indeed the 1/0 routing. I know the way I wanted to route the cable but its turning out not be a very efficient way to go. I wanted to rout the cables to the back of the battery tray and have them follow the same path as the existing ground cables to the battery. But in doing so it means that some cutting of the battery tray is necessary. I did it on mine but there is a substantial portion that needs to be cut to have the cable routed and I really don't like having to chop up the battery box. This means bringing the 1/0 up to the battery from the front which aesthetically is unappealing but gets the job done. The other cable can be routing on the side of the battery tray to the block. Thoughts before I start chopping cable?
I'm cool with the clean look. I have no problem cutting the box. If that method works well for you too, we are good.

As I sit here cleaning up my dining room table that I've taken over, I marvel in the amount of tools needed to assemble just ONE of these. And this doesn't show the hydraulic crimper for the Battery cables. I guarantee you guys, each one of these is a labor of love. All of the Mounts have been assembled and ready to be laser etched as I get the artwork redone. Right now I've only finished one artwork. :(

Yeah, may be a lot of tools, but the only one you need is:

Mate's 'tool' back in oz. Used it a few months back when I popped down there for a visit... English 'tool'...

cheers,
george.

To install now it's just a 12mm :P

I freaking love the brand though. Lol

Just spoke to the company making up my probe leads. There was a little confusion so now its been taken care of but there are now two options:

1. Red, coiled, 60" max., 18awg
2. Red, straight, 72", 18awg

When I designed this I wanted a 72" coil with 18awg wire. Problem is I can't get 72" unless I special order 100 or more. That ain't happening. The reason I wanted 72" is because at that length it can then reach ANY plug/terminal under the hood. At 60" it means the farthest corner, mainly the antenna and diagnostic plug, will be too far to stretch the 60" plug. I wanted the coil plug merely to keep it better contained. So I will let you guys decide on this one. Convenience of the length or convenience of the coil? Once decided I can have them by Friday.

X2 on length. That's a good thing on many levels, right? And coiled? ouch, not going there!

I guess I'm orinthologically challenged.

I vote length, one could always coil it up along a dowel and have a quasi-coiled probe.

I think you should include a built in mimi retractable reel, kind of like an air hose reel, just because you love details and doing this project for zero profit!

The probes arrived. 72", 18awg, banana plug. I'm just shipping in a plastic bag. Not going nuts on this one :(

Just waiting for a freaking dry day so I can finalize the battery cable lengths and these kits can start shipping. Argh!

So weird to hear a guy from CA complain about rain.
