Just installed the BAMBed sleep platform in my Land Cruiser 80 and I am honestly impressed. It took less than 10 minutes to set up - very straightforward. It turned our camping setup into a comfortable and functional camping space. If you are looking for an easy upgrade for car camping, this is a solid option.

Wished they have a half model and an adjustable height option

My one person solution. I can move it in/out of the vehicle on my own and it's low enough to have plenty of room to heave myself in and out and also has lots of storage underneath for a bunch of plastic totes that contain food, cooking gear, other assorted camping 'stuff'. One sheet of plywood, a few basic tools and a bit of paint to make it green :)

I made some metal brackets (1" x 1/8" metal) to bolt the front down using the leading edge seat mounting captive nuts. The above pic is during construction/fitting and the brackets weren't made yet.

I've camped a couple of weeks at a time, plenty comfy and allows for a quick make/break of camp. Tailgate becomes the cooking area and one camp chair to relax. Minimal and functional and CHEAP :)

cheers,
george.

An added bonus would be installing a spare tire carrier from bellfab
