Badge ideas for the rear reflector pad

Some kind of aluminum badge for the area the reflectors go, could be pretty cool. My Pig has never had reflectors so the area is begging for something cool. What would be cool to put on it?

I am posting some pics of the basic dimensions of the badge.

As reflectors go I have seen some similar form but smaller ones on a mid or early 60's Chevy truck...I am thinking there could be some out there in chevy land after market that might be close enough in size.

Hey Nat, what about brass? I'm thinking this morning of a wild hog motif...Maybe a series of badges.....I think it's a good idea for those of us not really needin the reflectors to be there.

I know they are, I was just messing around for my boy. He was interested in what could be done, so I sketched a lightning bolt, which he proclaimed to be stupid looking.

Gotta be honest, I would totally do the lighting bolt. I am kinda goofy like that though! On a more serious note these would be pretty darn cool.

I would really like a combo of actual reflector plus some kind of Pig messaging, like "FJ-55 Iron Pig"

I realize this may be unrealistic, but I do not want to totally lose the reflector function...

I like the idea of a reflector in the center. Maybe Kragen's has something.

Some writing around the rim would be cool.

The problem I think we have all had w/ the reflector issue, is diameter. There are an assortment of sizes of reflectors out there, but none that are an exact match. Given that, I would vote for the badge w/ reflector in the middle. This way we could get a generic reflector and size the badge to fit the mounting pad perfectly.....Who is thinking about making these? Would it just be stamped, or milled? I think a standard badge would be cheap enough to produce and stock, but I think a series and maybe a custom line should also be available. IF I had a mill, I would be tooling something right now. I think this is a good idea for the egos of our rigs.

I think a TEQ in a darker shade of red over the reflector would be cool. Very subtle and draws people in to look closer at the truck

That's an idea I've been mulling over too. I think I'd prolly go for 1 badgeflector, and a light of some kind for general use/extra back up-ability in the other reflector pad. But I really like the medallion dealio idea there Nat. Good call there
