I believe it did get hot but not insanely hot as it seems, the coolant was straight brown sludge and didn't seem like it was ever changed. When it had the little over heating episode I measured and it was at 215 on the top of the radiator. So I guess that was enough to blow the gasket.

All good, honestly my goal was to give this thing a slight tune up to get running half decent and drive it as long as possible on the original drive train until something like this happened just to see how long it would've kept going. Engine rebuild/swap plans were in the future for this now it seems like they will happen sooner rather than later. Anyways, I'll need help deciding 1FZ-FE swap or rebuild the original 2F and EFI kit it 0_o
It could also be possible your oil cooler has failed and is allowing coolant/oil to mix.
