Thanks guys! Regarding the dash, mine came with the repo shell glued on it. It looked horrible. Not trying to knock the folks who make the repo but it really looked cheap. I finally got the courage to pull it off and the original dash looked like the Grand Canyon. Splits and cracks galore. Long story short, I went to Lowes and got a can of that spray foam that you use for sealing up cracks in your home and put a heavy bead in all of the cracks. Came back a few days later with various cutting tools and started getting rid of the excess foam. Wasn't perfect but it at least leveled things a bit. After that, I wrapped the dash in the same vinyl that I used to do the door panels. It took a couple days to get everything wrapped and the corners folded nicely. I am very pleased with it and it was better than any available options. Not worried about the sun causing problems with it as I sprung for the better grade "marine" vinyl. Hope it helps.

Man, that was a good idea. I've got to do something with mine and I'm not sure what way to go. I never thought about covering it with vinyl.

Excellent idea! I should try that. Can you post where you got your marine vinyl at?

That is really cool!

The vinyl came from Hancock Fabrics. I was pretty surprised that my local store had a nice selection. Don't know if they all carry it or not.

The air filter is stock. Don't know if it would work on a 77 or not. Would probably be a bigger pain to adapt to than it's worth. The thing weighs like a lead brick. They sure don't make them like that anymore.
