Hi all. i'm back in the toy game after about 15 years absence. just picked up an LX450 and starting to really like it. have already cruised some of the local malls. :D

Fell off the wagon? well at least it's a healthy addiction....expensive, but healthy.
We still hold monthly meetings, not to support the quitters though, but to fuel the habits :D and they are not anonymous either.

wait, does this mean I can buy a bunch of Unimog stuff off you because you no longer need it? :D

Whoa..slow down there mini truck driver, Sass is holding on to those axles for my project that I might get around to doing...one of these decades. Picture for inspiration.

Aww c'mon. I have built one. Twice. The same one even. Now it needs a third build. Or is it fourth, I've lost count over time.

And to keep things on topic, 'cuz we are good that way, feel free to send me any pics you want posted up Sass. I can't remember exactly, but you need a certain amount of posts (250?) before you can post pics.

And of course your list of planned mods, because no one (except Christian) likes to drive a clean vehicle.

why not a landcruiser?...

Cool, saw it parked outside your shop last weekend. Was wondering if it was your new toy.

Welcome back ;)

Sass....you know what they say on BC4x4...

This thread is useless without pictures!

It was my turn again :D

So, Sass, pics? Plans? Selling Unimog parts?

btw thanks for the welcome guys. :)as for the mods, there will probably be your typical 2 inch lift. i like to use 33x12.5 size tires. its missing the factory wheels so also need to find a set of them. will also be adding front and back bumpers and likely a roof rack for weekend adventures.

going to go over it tomorow and hopefully head out for saturday.
bwt is anyone heading out this weekend that doesnt mind a newbie tag along. :p

on btw no need to fight. i probably have enough mog axles for half the local TLC guys.

that thing has been around for a while now. looks pretty cool. its for sale again and actually not very well put together. i sold an axle shaft to the current owner a couple of weeks ago.

**** that's shiny looking! The starbucks crowd will be jealous.
And in that case, dibs on mog axles :D
**** I should just get one and call it quits.

yes its an awesome lathe machine.:D

and your name is on the mog axles. come get them but i always say you need the rest of the mog to match the axles. ;)

changed all the fluids with synthetics and went out for a 14 hour run yesterday. i'm very happy with it so far. the combination of lockes and AC rocks. :steer:
