Just a little update. This round of tinkering began when I inexplicably lost my oil cap. 
I had to buy one to replace my M1 redneck cap and since I can't just buy an oil cap and nothing else, I picked up a few other things.
Since my last update I have just been driving and enjoying it. It's running very reliable now which I attribute to the Trollhole carb, its a very nice piece.
But just in case something were to ever go wrong, it would be nice to have a charged cell phone.
The 40 didn't have a cig lighter so I could not charge my cell phone. I added a cig lighter and took the time to freshen up the other dash knobs. Lubing the cables and painting the lettering.
This meant that I could charge my bluetooth speaker as well. Which just so happens to be a press fit for the dash opening that looks like a beaver chewed on. I also added a cell phone mount. I have a rokform cell phone case which has a strong earth magnet as well as a twist mount formed into the case. It's pretty slick set up that I have been using in my Tacoma for years.
I'll figure out the wire routing issue later. Now I'm just glad to have power and tunes.
If anyone knows what those two open holes in the dash are for, I would appreciate the discussion.
I also replaced the air flilter and the rear reflectors. I'll post pics of the reflectors later. I want to replace the tail light lenses and gaskets first. I'm also going to spray bomb the rear crossmember/bumpers while I'm at it.
