It very, very frustrating the cool stuff the rest of the "oppressed" world gets that we just can't have. This thing is just neat:

http://www.fourwheeler.com/news/1406-is-the-ford-bronco-ii-making-a-comeback/

It's not likely that Ford will offer this in the states, as they seem to have made a business plan of playing it safe and never taking chances with exciting vehicles, just putting out the mundane people carriers they think we need by necessity. (please don't call the Mustang exciting.) It would be fantastic to have more "All for fun, I don't need it, but I want it" type vehicles in the States. Its probably too dangerous for us simple minded Americans, without airbags and traction control, we'll hurt ourselves in it. Funny you can still buy a motorcycle without airbags, seatbelts, and traction control-- and don't even have to wear a helmet... But can't buy a vehicle like this in American because its probably won't pass safety mandates. :meh:

Not sure I like the styling, but I love the concept.

I couldn't make it to the Birghten the Sangres/Medano trip this weekend. If anyone else out there couldn't make it, but wants to go wheeling some place near CS (china wall, rainbow falls area, longwater gulch, whatever) tomorrow, send me a PM or post up here. I will probably head out a run a trail tomorrow, regardless.

Well hermit pass took its toll on my mtr's. I didn't think that was a tough trail but I guess it had some sharp rocks.

I am glad I have the hazard warranty.

Wow...hazard warranty through Discount Tires?

Don't you also have the Firestone lifetime alignment deal? Thinking about getting it, any thoughts?

Thanks.

Yes the firestone buy the chappel hills mall. Ask for Jared I think. Anyway he took care of me and hit the number I told him too. The firestone by me the guy I think is a jealous deusch and I think messed up the jeep and fj. I will never go there for an alignment again. The discount warranty so they will give me a bran new one. They even rotate and balance my jeep for free even though the tires aren't there's. It's what came with the jeep but they take care of me for being a good customer.

Cool thanks for the info. When I took the 100 to L.H.Miller after the lift, they told me they couldn't do it because of the lift. After a little discussion, they had they "head mechanic" do it. It got close, but after Chinaman's it does feel like it's pulling a bit. Not sure I want to take it back to Miller if they don't feel confident doing it.

I've got a Firestone by me (Research and Woodman). Any experience with them? ...although, if you like the Chapel Hills Mall Firestone, they are pretty close too.

Go to the mall one and save yourself the hassle. Dude explained why this other guy most likely sucked and it's due to laziness and being a wuse. Just hit him up and ask for an explanation if the numbers can't be hit. Next alignment I am giving him a good tip, plus the lifetime warranty is well worth it for what we do with our mall crawlers.

Great info man, thanks! Will probably be heading over there someday soon.

Anyone have plans on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of August? If everything is going right with the rig I propose a Blanca trip. Head out early Friday morning run up Blanca, camp then come down late Saturday or Sunday. Does this sound like a good time for anyone?

I was talking with one of the coordinators and trail leaders for all 4 fun run and she is very interested in running this with us as she hasn't done this one yet. So there is no one who wants to do this trail then?

They closed all the shooting down on mt.herman road. I guess all the dumb people are taking control of the world. They don't like my hobby so they push us further and further into the woods since it is inconvenient for them to have to. I may have to start shooting in town since they won't let me shoot in the woods.o_O

I did the test run today and tried out little Moab. Got a little squirrelly since it was muddy and got in a pinch between a tree and a ledge. Couldn't get a good bump so I pulled the winch out. I should be good to go on wheeler. A few noises but all in all it went well.

Incredibly jealous of you! Look at their site from time to time to check out and drool lol

Did you have a chance to meet Micah? He was out trail leader on Kane Creek during Cruise Moab. Awesome guy and drove a real slick HDJ60.

No, didn't get a chance to meet him. My dad and I took a drive over there on Friday and he's closed on Fridays.

My parents live less than 20 minutes from his shop, so I'm sure I'll head back there next time I'm in MO. Some cool rigs over there for sure.

I want to do blanca, but 10th is a voluntold fundraiser for work, then on the 16th we are doing a run across engineer etc.

That sucks. Seems like the the only date that works for me. The wife is on call the first weekend in August and we have a wedding. On the 15-16. Then the 23-24 is supposedly buena vista weekend and I was hoping to do grizzly. May not end up going. Only time will tell.

I would be interested in doing Blanca, but I'm not sure I can swing a Friday off (unless for some reason our DONSA for August lands on that day...). I could come down Saturday morning though and camp the night. Doubt the wife would want to run this, but I'm game.

Well I heard it would get to busy during the weekend but if that's what it takes to get more involved I would say yes. This would all be weather dependent of course. You gonna make it to the meeting? And it's also dependent ion how my rig is doing. I think it is all good but the next few trails will test it a little but not like Blanca will.
