saw some interesting decisions...a 4 knocker running 37 on an old 4runner and they wonder why their overheating? The Rover didn't look locked in the rear end. The 55 though...SWEET!! Travis...I think you could have done it!

Yeah.... the 55 will be dearly missed, but it was in bad shape. I saw how bad of shape it truly was in when I started cutting pillars. The B and C pillars where the only solid metal in the whole thing. I probably could have cut through the A pillars with tin ships. Who knows, might build a 55 in the future sometime.??? Until then, I've got a sweet 60 that I've fallen in love with. :D

That's a bummer about the 55. Congrats on the 60 though. I think I've got wife convinced that she needs a 60 as well.

Yeah, sad but necessary. Very excited about the 60 though!!!!

Had this recorded, finally watched it today. Makes me thankful for every one of you I 4wheel with... You guys rock. If I had to wheel with these yahoo's and their clapped out piles, big mouths, and dangerous driving styles- I'd just quit :) I hope the Land Rover guys take it. They seem to be the most reasonable. And lmao about the second gen 4runner team taking a line around the side slope, I remember those days in that unstable rig. Haha.

My dad sent me this link.

ALASKA OFF-ROAD WARRIORS

Cool 55 in there...

I was thinking the same thing, I don't think I could stand being around them a day much less an entire expo like this. I would much prefer team CLC.

Watched it on youtube, a bit too much jaw flapping. Not very much wheeling footage. Curious how they handle the mud holes. I'll try to catch the rest just to "reminisce". From what I recall they were channeled through some crap meant to stop them. Most of the folks we wheeled with were running big tires and lockers as standard. With 35's and 4" of lift I had the littlest rig of the group. A great place to wheel hands down.

its definitely a dumb show but I love that the 55 is kicking ass at least in the first couple of episodes.
I see alot of wreckless s*** going on considering how remote they are allegedly supposed to be. Obviously the producers need to keep it interesting.
i'm sure the directive is to make it look good for the camera.
the 55 still looks the best out of all of them in my opinion.

So after the Xmas tree run (and how much fun it is put dents in the 80) I think I'll keep the Whale for now. It'll stay listed for the time being and always for sale at the right price.

Missed an opportunity for a lower mileage 3FE on CL, but I'll see what I can do to bring this one in to shape. I know it's due for a rear main seal. This winter I'll probably pull the drive line and rebuild the transfer, reseal any leaks, etc.

Has anyone done a valve adjust one on a 3FE? I'm a bit hesitant to take it on myself, so if anyone has any experience with it, I'd appreciate the help. Once valves are adjusted, might help it out a bit, and I can run a compression/leak down test to see what kind of shape it is.

So much more Id like to do as well. Winter projects. Lol

Has anyone given thoughts to CruiseMoab next year? I'll be going again. For those that want to go, it may be beneficial to try and get a group site somewhere.

Glad to hear your keeping her.

I'm seriously considering Cruise Moab this year. Want to see the area, but would probably benefit from going with people who know where they're going. :D

I think it's way more beneficial to go a couple days early so you can get more in. Not necessarily even trails. But checking out Canyonlands or Arches NP for example. Could check out a couple additional trails as well since you'd have more time. If there's enough people interested, we could look into a group site. I know there's a couple near Dead Horse SP and one or two down Kane Creek Road where I stayed in Sept. No showers, but there are out toilets. Showers can be had at the Moab Aquatic Center for a few bucks.

I'll have to see what kind of time I can get off from school. It will be right between coming back from Spring Break and the end of school, so????

I'll know more after the holidays.

But VERY interested. :steer:
