My search skills are sucking today because I know I have seen this before. Can anyone tell me their experiences running large gauge auxiliary battery wire along the frame and into the rear.

Where did you enter the vehicle?
Did you protect the the wire?
How specifically did you run it?
Would you take the time to go through the firewall if you did it again?

Thanks!

Why go through the firewall?

For my inverter 2000W? and compressor, rear 12V outlets I added and a fuseblock for other accessories. I ran 2 gauge from the engine compartment along the frame rail, in simple plastic split loom and zip-tied to the rail, then up through the drain plug under the second row PS seat. I used a Blue Sea bulkhead fitting (similar to below) with really large fender washers and RTV sealant. Been there for at least five years with no problems.
