Done the service on her yesterday @110000kms. First time doing a service with those cartridge type filters. Pretty simple, just removing the bash plates is what took a bit of time.

Also, the brakes were pretty s***, it stopped just had that "wavy" feel in the pedal. From research, everyone seems to go the DBA T3 with the DBA XP Pads

How is the feel with the pedals/rotors?

Plenty of meat left the LX but handy to keep these DBA's in mind when the time comes.

Headed to my good friends exhaust shop today (Performance Exhaust Centre) to get the Turbo back Redback Extreme exhaust fitted!
What a great bit of kit, all bolted up easy without any issues! Sounds great, and best part is it actually goes better too!
Out of the box:

Took this out to Lithgow (NSW Aus) yesterday for a proper test. It was raining and muddy so extra fun (Not the cleaning part!) I'm very impressed with the factory traction control and craw control feature as this do not come with lockers!

There was one little climb that was steep and muddy (Which I didnt get on Camera) that I thought I wasn't getting out.....tried the craw control and it just crawled out like it was tiwn locked!)

Obviously on camera it doesnt give how steep this inclines are!

KDSS Helps alot with travel!

Next to a friends Jimny with 32's, beadlocks and reduction gears was very impsseive too (No lockers yet)

Aggresive offset = More mud on teh sides :(

So I have had this sitting here for about a month. GME XRS370 with the GME Shorter Aerial.

Pretty trick for a UHF!

haven't had the courage to pull the dash apart. Keep in mind this is like the newest car I have had and modified (Everythings been 90s!). Turned out to be pretty easy tho!!
Slowley took the dash apart
20210120-142859.jpg

And mounted the unit here (With the Australian Made Sticker). Sits behind the Screen.

There is one blank left here for the Sahara's and its the perfect spot for the Car specific RJ45 GME Pass through adaptor. So when not in use, I just unplug the handset and put it away!
20210120-154334.jpg

The Handset cradle is not a "clip" but a magnet! So much better when wheeling and trying to unclip or clip the mic back! I remember in my old 80, Id just chuck it on the Passenger seat when I was offroading lol
20210120-155313.jpg

I also grabbed the Kaon Aerial mount, which replaces the small plastic triangle behind the mirror. Nice descreet spot and out of the way of the front windscreen.

Very happy with my GME XRS, can do a crazy amount of things. Same nerves here about pulling apart the raptor to fit it behind the dash

Don't spose any of you know how long it takes Kaon to get their stuff back in stock? hanging out for that antenna mount so I can snag a XRS for my LX570.

*edit* Spoke with them, due to be back in stock on Tuesday incase anyone else chasing 1.

Christ. Just when I couldn't be any happier with my 2021, I see what could have been with the diesel. So rad.

Love the cruiser, but I'd love to see more pics of your buddies Jimny. I really wish that we could get these here in the states, such a capable and affordable little rig that would make for a great around town cruiser or for hard use out on the ranch.

I need a cat back version of that exhaust for the 5.7

It shortens the warm up time.

It shortens the warm up time.
So it would raise the idle RPM to warm up the engine quicker?

I've never heard of such things before; is this diesel specific?

Exactly and yes very common on diesels.
