Bought the bus last year - dereg QLD plates, not starting.

I think PO tried to jump it and got the cables around the wrong way and blew the neg battery post

Put new solid brass battery clamps on but the negative kept corroding so today, after 6 months I put a new battery + more new clamps + new lugs on battery cables.

Though, it came fitted with bull bar, winch that I haven't seen before with multiple grease points, and a ~70 litre Aux tank

Just to make sure charging was up to the next 20 years I had a new BOSCH alternator fitted by a pro - incorporates the booster pump

THe aircon didnt work and the radiator looked like it had been flogged out over the last 20 years so first up I tried to flush the block out a few times with hose water then some flushing additive

Then I went all out and changed the radiator, the top bottom hose, water pump, thermostat, and the coolant and all belts

Then onto the fuel system, it's got inline filters for each tank which come up into th engine bay then head back down the chassis rail to a heater / filter? then back up the main filter. Had to take the filter housing off and put in a vice to get hte filter off, it had been on there a while....CHanged out all 3 filters as well as the primer pump

Then onto the oil / filter air filter, didn't get any indepth pics of it, dirty job.

I took it over the pits to get rego'd and it failed on a few minors like bushes,

Diff Oil Leaking onto Brakes through damaged oil seal in diff and brake lines

No indicators in bull bar

Few other small things like, seat belt replacement and cert for 2nd fuel tank and I was away.
Aircon didn't work so I pressurised it myself and squirted soapy water around til I found the leak, replaced the O rings and got a local comany to regas. Then I went for a drive up north

I'd played around with turbos on my 80 before going the Gturbo route, I've got a few CT26 that might end up heading into this as with the aircon going now the bus is no speed wagon, will see how much time I get off work next few months and if someone wants to sell a 12ht manifold...

This weekend got onto the steering - tie rods which had a bit of play in them.
Bought a kit and replaced the lot, then tightened up the steering box adjuster.

No need for a 12HT manifold to turbo the 2H

New headunit and CB/ hand held wired in, also Rallye 4000 with HID kits wired in off relay/ high beams for 1000m vision at night
