Had a chance to look at this again today, found that under the RHS front seat is what I believe to be the ”multi display controller / assy”, and this is what connector L55 in Grinchy’s post above connects to.

Unfortunately for me, even though this has had no use (like the vehicle over the past few years) it will blow the 7.5A RSE with neither screen plugged in. It will even blow with only the L55 connector plugged in, I.e. without the other 2 connectors or the coax connector (like the amp has).

I opened the controller up just to look inside, but there is no sign of any corrosion or moisture damage, it all looks like new.

I also fired up the radio and amp with this controller disconnected and a fresh fuse to see if there was any interaction with the amp, but still no audio.

So my dilemma now is if I replace this controller at substantial cost, is it going to fix my audio issue? How does this interact to mute the audio?

Sounds like the next step is checking each of the relevant wires for a short.. or powering that pin in the connector directly also with a separate 7.5A fuse from battery to see if it's the controller itself with the problem.

When you opened the controller, do you have enough experience with electronics to identify burnt traces on the board/s or damaged components?

If this controller is left unplugged, the fuse does not blow so I believe the vehicle harness is fine. The fuse will blow as soon as the L55 power connector is plugged into the controller, even with the other connectors left out.

I did have a look at the PCB, but without a big magnifying glass this surface mount stuff is hard to see but it looked ok to the naked eye. Also because it is video control, many of the circuits are also shielded with a metal cover.

Just an update, it’s all fixed and working correctly. Ordered and installed 86104-60010 “Controller sub-assy, multi-display“ i.e. the controller which resides under the RH front seat. This unit runs the RSE screens, but must sit on the canbus and unless the right messages are sent no volume control, no volume.

Resurrecting this thread for the same no sound issue. Have a MOST 15D0 error. Thought it was the amp, sent out for repair, but they called and said the amp tested fine and worked on their bench. So they sent it backm Now I'm pretty sure it's the multi display controller as there screens in the back no longer power on.

One weird thing is that on my 14 I don't see the AMP under the service menu. It has three devices on the left and that's all. One shows MOST next to it in orange/red. Then in the far right column in smaller black text is says AUX and below that DCM. I don't seem to have all the other diagnostic features in this menu that I see on others. Can anyone help clarify if this is correct for my model year and what the black text items mean? What is the EMV-M? Oh. I've checked all fuses. As in every single fuse in the engine bay and both interior junctions. Not one fuse is blown, or dark or scored.
